Alok is my friend, yo. He moved from here to your area and saw one of my favorite DJ/Producers on his first night. Grrrr!

It was great meeting a bunch of TA's last night, and Seb's set was awesome... I believe someone even said it was one of the best sets they had heard at Avalon ever. Not bad for my first event in LA!

Posted by gerard6975 on Jul-20-2008 23:44:

wasn't really impressed with leger. i liked lee foss & droog's set better.

Posted by dollaroff on Jul-21-2008 00:58:

You know, Leger's set was danceable (and fun to dance to), but it didn't excite me. I enjoyed his drop of Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive, though.

Droog & Lee Foss kicked ass; I danced during all of their sets, while I took some breaks during Leger's set; go figure.

I'm now listening to his EM, and it's not bad; it just doesn't make me go wow. It's good to listen to in the background...
EDIT: It got better in the last 30 minutes.

So I get home this morning around 10, and there are kids in the pool, and a dog barking; argh! Don't they know I need to crash? They finally left now at 6pm.

^^^

I need the drugs that you guys are taking...

But then again i didn't really hear Droog's set. I got there late and was in the terrace until Leger came on. On top of that i am a Leger mark.

If you like the music that Droog plays, they're top-notch.

Was this a wedding?

You know, it's house. It works. (it was some reedit/remix though)

But, yes, some people stopped dancing during the song; they lost out

Posted by dollaroff on Jul-21-2008 03:15:

I completely didn't add this before: they rented a new light setup for the night; fantastic. Thrax's pics totally do them justice

sorry man but i don't take drugs that's why i can't appreciate his set. i can hear every detail of it. though it may just be the set up the booth.

still don't like mixing shitty electro tracks with tech house.

well i had fun. danced for most of the night. and yes the last hour of Sebastein's set was really very good, imo. hope you had a great time aloke, we didn't end my afterhours until about 9 pm last night. lol, told we go all weekend but we hung in the pool for a good part of the perfect weather day yesterday, always a great way to recover, with mimosas in hand.

great to see the TA's there as always. i'm still debating about going next weekend, really need to lay low but ugh, bookashade live, i mean, you know

Posted by Clovis on Jul-21-2008 16:06:

Droog killed it, kept the floor full till about 6am...ended around 7 I think. I left when Seb started to go see Mark Henning @ an underground downtown.

Not sure...he got on around 1am I think and when we got back around 4:30 Droog was playing...

Mark Henning was awesome, and the little I saw of Eddie Richards was great.
