| Originally posted by chimera66 it was fun, glad i changed my mind and decided to go. like last year i lost everyone i came with after maybe 2hrs then wandered around talking which i have to admit was entertaining. decent set by armin but i would have to admit the best part was the party ending at 10pm rather than 6am |

| Originally posted by yankeeBaby you are 100% correct my friend. Aspy, were we at the same party?? the people were SCREAMING those lyrics!! And you know what? I dont know the lyrics very well, and do you know why? Because I dont really have the time to upload or listen to all the ASOT's and live sets. |

| Originally posted by emc^2 Taste is such a subjective thing. What you may consider lame, others may enjoy quite immensely. Where many who attended this event may have had a great time, you would have been miserable. You are what is considered an "irrelevant minority" and I'm sure that many others like me will not lose any sleep over your rather keen and objective opinion. Moreover, next time "#1 DJ elections" roll around, your opinion alone is what is going to decide who should be a #1 DJ. I'm sure that your opinion of Armin will resonate with a vast majority of Armin fans and we will all take your lead and go on worship someone else. Besides, how is Armin going to make a living if he's not a #1 DJ? That's right - he won't! It will be back to poor house for him. And who was there to start this avalanche of a movement? YOU!!!! And that's why your opinion matters. |

I remember everyone yelling these lyrics out where I was... even to Not The End/Who Will Find me (although since we were so up close it was hard to hear when the lyrics started at times, lol). Haha we even forced lyrics to Take Me Away... though that didn't last long. |

Why would people go 2 an avb event and not even know him or listen 2 his music?nvm my aunt just told me that alot of guys just go there 4 the girls. shes been going 2 events like these for years she's 27 so she knows what shes talking about. anyways I have been listening 2 armin n ferry 4 about 2 years now and there my fav djs. y because I like so many of there tracks. I don't care where there from or what there name is I just like the tracks they spin n there style! the funny part is that I didn't even know he has so many fans haha mccarren pool was packed!! |
Ive read a lot of this. Thanks for the tracklist guys! My moments were DEF
Shana- Mr. Pitt (duderstadt prog dub mix)
What the fuck
Eco- Tonight is forever!
and OF COURSE: In and Out of Love - Richard Durand Remix - I FREAKED OUT hardcore when this came on omg, and btw i know it may have been requested but this was the asot 359 future favorite, so i woulda been soooo surprised not to hear it. such a great great track.
I had the best time, it was such an awesome set. armin def had the 4 hours to branch out and play us a wider selection than at pachita and when I saw him in May in boston, so i was really happy to hear a wider range of tunes with some AMAZING bombs and super trancy shit towards the end, damn!! and the rain was nice i actually loved it.
travelled from Boston for this show, and i would do it again in 2 seconds, so so so fun. have some pics up!:

randy boyer [EnMass] was there!!! hes in some of my pics, check them out and add him on facebook!!
thats the public album but add me ifu want anyone
wooohoooo goodtimes.
burak rob good to see u, i didnt see too manyother TAs bc i was more on the outskirts of the crowd, i like my rooom to danceeeee
i feel dumber for reading the last few pages of this thread... a ton of people knew the lyrics to going wrong, armin spun ridiculous, guys hit on girls wherever they go (sometimes guys hit on guys...) but YES wai, if I wanted to hook up, i would go to a hip-hop event where the skanky hoes are. I don't waste my time at EDM events, cause that is Ravi time to listen to music and watch lasers and be with my friends etc.
if there's a quality recording of that set, id love to get my hands on it
Mikey McNulty has his pics up on his website, they are UNBELIEVABLE!!!! ohhh my god, you must check these out...

Im in one too
Karen and I!
Yeah, I agree. I was in Tabu, too, and you had to see the quality of the crowd and the music there, then you could compare Mccarren.
"Who will find me" was playing and so many idiots around me were looking at me like, "what the fuck is this dude singing?"
And of course, I was lookin at them and saying, u fuckin morons!

For once I would like to see a Non-Review of an Event....
Woooohoooo ... I had such an awesome time!!! That was probably the best party I've been to. \0/ \0> Armin was great and I met some extremely cool people who I can't wait to hang out with more

great job MadeEvent for fixing past problems
Long bathroom lines- no problems this time plenty of porto potties, very short wait, no overflowing
Sound Problem- sounded great if you were anywhere near the stage-it was the standard of any club, of course if you were in the back it wasnt the same quality, but why were you back there anyhow
Long entry lines- from what i saw it was easy going, quick line, quick security check, in you go
Lasers- this year they were top quality, along with the stage lighting and smoke it really enhanced the entire experience
Not enough Armin- no guest performances this year, over 4 hours of only armin, he cant go much longer than 10 based on city ordinances, made doesnt want to risk their liscences so they do the right thing by ending on time
Brooklyn brewery- ok still have not taken care of this, but lets say in their defence they are supporting the local buisness, no matter how you feelabout the taste, that is rather noble, considering they can do the standard Bud and which would do nothing for thelocal community
overall, it is quite apparent made lsitens to their fans, yes they still wantto makea profit, but why wouldnt they, this is still capitalism, and theys till have a right to make profits-and in America there is nothing wrong with wanting to generate money, the ticket price was fair, compared to Tiesto its a bargain
Also look at the amountof people theyemploy for their outdoor events, its definitly a boost for thelocal econmy, fromsecurity, to sound and stage, local food/beer vendors, its gives people a chanceto work, with some of the negative feedback Made receives here, and sometimes deservingly so,we ought to give complements when there do as well

G - update the first post with tracklist pls. I can't believe how big this review thread got and I don't feel like hunting for it. ;]
