ya it was lulz, but i don't know if you can imagine how serious he actually was

fin-swe, sirius bisniz.

Posted by elFreak on Oct-21-2008 20:18:

that is why it is pretty funny.

Saku is pretty laid back, i don't think he buys into the swede thing other than in olympic years.

Did anyone see this goal?

If only the Avs had decent goaltending!

Posted by bamski on Oct-22-2008 10:13:

You blame the goalie for that??

I'd say the defensman got owned Theo Fleury-style.

Posted by elFreak on Oct-22-2008 17:05:

i think he was talking in general because the avs have awful goaltending.

Posted by bamski on Oct-22-2008 18:14:

Whatever, I was still right.. sort of

Posted by elFreak on Oct-22-2008 19:36:

this ad is so awesome.

i don't know why they advertise, since every game is sold out already...but i am glad that they did this.

Posted by bamski on Oct-22-2008 20:14:

Never seens ad like, pretty goddamn sweet, gotta love everything oldschool about hockey.

Now I'm just pissed my team doesn't have one like that

Posted by elFreak on Oct-22-2008 20:17:

what year where they established i? I know a bit about the euro leagues, but shamefully not anywhere as much as i should as a hardcore hockey fan.

Posted by bamski on Oct-22-2008 20:30:

They turn a 111 tomorrow!! Huge event/game it's gonna be

Ok the hockey-branch of my team was established in 1945, for a Finnish team that's a really long run.

I did a search but couldn't find on NHL.com, there was a huge article about the two Helsinki teams, sad actually, I really wanted you to see it.

It's a huge honor for me (us) that they did that article

It was old, from like '06, but I only found it a few weeks ago, and now it's gone

Posted by elFreak on Oct-22-2008 20:34:

well, when you find it i will read it.

I was about to post the link yesterday, but the same link now bounces it to the current headlines

edit: like this http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=...rticleid=280862

if you have any magic tricks i'd like to see them, the artice number etc reads there

Posted by elFreak on Oct-22-2008 20:53:

my guess would be to use an advanced google search with site:www.nhl.com and the names of the teams mentioned.

Posted by bamski on Oct-22-2008 20:57:

Nope, well heres something about my team if you wanna know, check the former players, you might find some interesting names...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HIFK

BTW we have an enforcer named Kip Brennan, he's had a few clashes with some of the titans, you wouldn't happen to know anything about him?

Posted by elFreak on Oct-22-2008 21:03:

brennan does not ring a bell, but then again after researching him, his career in the nhl was shorter than a circus midget.

i was surprised to see john madden, 2004 lock out season?

Some great players on past rosters...lol @ Essa Tikannen and his garbage can helmet.

Mad Dog was a fucking joke, played three games and disappeared.

Yeah, during lockout.. Vokoun was our goalie

Posted by elFreak on Oct-22-2008 21:07:

Vokoun played one game for the habs, got destroyed and promptly traded. He has done good since then, good for him.

He got destroyed in the playoffs here too.. and did something very unsportsmanlike.....

But when he was good, he was very, very good.

Posted by L.E.N. on Oct-22-2008 21:28:

Sharks better not give up their 8 year winning streak against the flyers tonight. Dont give them their first win of the season please.

Posted by bamski on Oct-22-2008 21:29:

I'm on your side...

If Niittymaki is on the bench

Posted by elFreak on Oct-22-2008 21:30:

i think i'm gonna watch that one tonight

Posted by bamski on Oct-22-2008 21:32:

Aren't you gonna ask me what Vokoun did?

It's really a shame how few ppl participate in this thread

Posted by elFreak on Oct-22-2008 22:10:

WHAT DID VOKOUN DO?

opps

meh...at least we don't have to put up with people with shit teams they like as we all root for teams with an actual shot at winning. Except sweds, but he stopped posting out of embarrassment i think.

He completely turned sheit come playoffs, and guess why? Because our team did not equip him with good enough pads.. (he played 10 perfect games with those pads before that)..

Then he threw a huge tantrum and was immediately given the pads he requested, then he carried on sucking.. And he threw an even bigger tantrum that he wanted his old pads, which were already thrown away...

So I guess it was our fault since we obviously couldn't equip him with the proper gear that were required, being the star he is..

Hows that for pathetic.
