He certainly should have tried it before adding anything, even salt and pepper.

However, if he wants TS on it (I do on my stuffed peppers...actually, I cook it into the stuffing)he should have taken a bite before walking to the fridge.

IMO

Am I the only person here that thinks that this:

- :: takes two bites :: ... ... ... er, can I have some tomato sauce?

is more rude than this:

- :: asks for tomato sauce, then takes two bites :: MMMM, om nom nom, this is good stuff, babe!

seems to me that would be a lot worse than just asking first. it's like saying, 'I thought it would be better than this. I need sauce,' instead of 'this looks good, but I always like sauce.'

edit: haha I clicked reply from the first page.

i am guilty of this as well. it's not that the steak is lacking in flavor or that it needs anything... it's just that steak sauce is so damn tasty and the only excuse i ever have to eat it is when i'm eating steak.

however, i will forgo the steak sauce if the meat is topped with some sort of blue cheese concoction.

well, yeah but that's meat and everyone eats theirs according to what they prefer (bbq, hot sauce, picante, etc).

with peppers rofl! i don't fucking know, perhaps you're being a little too over dramatic slylee. but that's ok, it's a chic thing and i understand. in fact, it's kind of attractive to see a girl worry about such things, nowadays they don't even want to cook for you. what has this world come to...

i grew up in a house full of women haha (insert joke), no srsly, i understand women. i love women, my niece was actually just like slylee with her bf's (pathetic)

I couldn't be arsed to read 5 pages....but...Jamie, here is a story for you.

My grandfather used to salt EVERYTHING before tasting it. So one day my grandmother decided to presalt his honeydew. He sat down, poured his salt on it and proceeded to attempt to eat it. When he took that first bite he was disgusted. From then on he always tasted his food before salting it.

Maybe you should try a similar thing. I don't think what he did was rude per se, but I think it is fucking stupid because you NEVER know how something is going to taste if you slather it full of shit before you try it.

I think it was insensitive of him , unless that's how he always eats his stuffed peppers. Which i doubt he eats stuffed peppers regularly

Posted by elFreak on Sep-24-2008 17:49:

lol

anyone who thinks stuffed peppers are fancy eats too much kraft dinner.

i make roasted pablano peppers with goat cheese and aged chedder in a porto reduction a few times a month. My girlfriend loves thhem and it takes like 20 minutes prep time tops.

Posted by wotyzoid on Sep-24-2008 18:17:

If you think something your bf/gf does in front of you without thinking twice is rude than you have some fucking problems.

You can make stuffed peppers fancy. You can make pretty much anything fancy with the right ingredients.

Posted by elFreak on Sep-24-2008 18:24:

a 7 course meal is fancy.

a bunch of dishes on one plate is not.

she made fucking bell peppers with rice (probably instant)
they make that shit in school cafeterias, omg get me a reservation.

you can decorate a hamburger to look like a work of art, but guess what it is still a fucking hamburger.

Oh dude, licky lick. You just like to poke poke. I swear. (insert rolling eyes). There's lots of cool stuff that I would call spectacular that fits onto one plate. 7 course meals went out with obesity.
