There are 2 other stages. A house stage and a Dnb stage.

When we saw Armin Only in downtown in July 2006, we were there when it opened and we got right in. But that entire event was much more well-structured compared to any event I've been to at the SA (including a few TAO's).

Have you looked into a room at the Radission on Figueroa? It's not a great hotel but it works well and the location is perfect. It's a quick walk to the Sports Arena. That way you wouldn't have to worry about finding taxis on NYE in LA. Here's a link if this may be helpful:

HTH.

Awesome thanks

I'll be there as well + 4. No VIP. Not very cost effective at $150 when we can walk from the hotel smashed, have a few more drinks and others, and be good for the night Partying with the Kandi Kids hehe

Sorry, I'm not at liberty to say. It's my understanding they wanna keep the guest artists a secret 'til the show.

Wasn't Armin Only in the summertime last year had Nadia Ali of IIO come out and sing Rapture while Armin was spinning? Or was I just so fubard...I hallucinated it? haha

I was actually surprised at how reasonable it was 50 bucks with only 5 dollar service fee. Not too bad i think. I am pretty excited, and am looking forward to a good relaxing time with family and friends while dancing my socks off! Hehe

$75. Screw ticketmaster.

So listening to the State of Trance Yearmix. Excellent. If he plays something like this my legs will fall off by the end of the night.

dang! ya, at least you get your tickets mailed though. That may be wort not waiting in line for will call, depending on how groove tickets works this year. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Ok I have a few questions? I've never partied in LA and never been out there other then summer 2003 for my 21st Birthday 2 days before Vegas! I see the weather can get cold at night... nothing to compare with Montreal but is Together as One all inside? What's the capacity? Is it sold out normally?
I'm flying in for 2 days do I need a coat? Any other info related that you guys think I should get that would be great! Flying in 2 weeks!
Dom K

Posted by SFtrance on Dec-16-2008 17:08:

I would not suggest bringing a coat to the venue unless you can put it somewhere. It does get pretty warm and the coat would only be for after the event. VIP might have coat check, but I'm the wrong person to ask. In general its a very very relaxed dress there. This isn't Montreal or like Club Opera (go Circus!), etc. To give you an idea, your bound to see tons of people without shirts and girls wearing practically nothing.

If you are primarily going for Armin, he will be inside, while the other stages usually are placed outside to sides of the arena.

I'm guessing around 20,000+ people will show and I doubt Armin as a headliner will actually make it sell out. Monster Massive doesn't, so probably TAO won't.

Think I answered it all

Well the last Monster Massive I went to in 2006 was INSANE well over 30,000 people.

Who knows but this event has potential of bringing in the same amount of people I think...

Posted by SFtrance on Dec-16-2008 18:47:

Ah that brings a smile to my face Really fun year.

Armin is definitely mainstream so he has the potential to bring in an even larger crowd. Plus everyone's obsession with Deadmau5. Whats the event capacity I guess? I'll be hoping for something closer to 20-25,000. I want my dancing room. For DK's sake, this will be a lot bigger than Bal En Blanc unless he went to them back in the arena days.

Dk Man: Where are you staying? I can help with travel times, time tables, routes, etc.

Lastly a meetup must be organized of some sorts
