What a fun night. I'm so glad I got to be apart of this.. Thanks to Barry and everyone else involved.
I got there early for sound tests, the club wasn't what I expected at all but the venue itself is gorgeous. I waited for my friends to arrive and caught some of Barry's set. I'm not a trance fan so I went and chilled in the side room for a bit. I honestly was bored, but that isn't the clubs fault. Trance just burns my ears haha.
Finally the Toronto DJs arrived. I used to live in TO so I'd been waiting to see some familiar faces foreverrr. It was a mini reunion and definitely the highlight of my night. They brought their A game and the side room was bonkerrs.. so many Toronto people, so much fun! It was a bit sloppy, but its WMC. Go big or go home.
Joe Manzone of Manzone&Strong had the best set of the night in that room, with Joee Cons right behind him. Song of the night was Carlo Lio - QYOZA .. yayy. I wasn't too fond of the rest of the lineup.. We needed more tech house!
I had a great night with great friends. My only complaint was that some of my friends couldn't get in.. but nothing could be done about that.
See you all next year!
ps. who were the photographers? I have yet to see pics be released from this party!
sorry for the late post but it was a great night. Glen Morrison banged it with his tech prog style. There were no errors in his mixing. The flow was amazing. Then markus came on and for some reason he kept the vibe goin just as glen did. It was all tech prog, no asot style music at all except for a remix above and beyond can't sleep, His mixing was phenomenal. He used the mic a couple times but it was cool. After that noel sanger came on, he also kept the flow goin, when i looked at him he look really serious on the decks. So overall it was a good night
