Steve Bug is also playing another venue on Sunday night. I'm not getting too crazy Sunday though...festival lineup on Monday is KILLER - including Adam Beyer my personal GOD

I'd imagine that the party would be mostly enclosed for that reason (there wouldnt be anyone spinning out on an exposed deck)

also if there are three levels I'm imagining some kind of massive luxury yacht?

- I'd take off the Leftroom party from TBA, Tolfrey is playing at Night Moves that night, so I'd assume that this is what he meant when he told me they are "doing a party on Sunday"

not much duder. i feel yeah on the steve bug, he is also playing the festival though which is making me less tempted to see him afterwards.

that boat party is a an overpriced joke. its during the middle of the day from 11-3. you get to go up and down the disgusting detroit river, awesome, pass.

rivers edge and tv bar are def two of the two better venues with some of the best parties during the weekend for sure mike.

I agree about the Bug! I will def be there for his set Saturday at the fest and I am also thinking on skipping out of his Sunday party even though I adore him... regardless, he'll be in NY 2 weeks after.

Even then I prob won't.

that sunday night boat party sounds crazy. But I don't like the weather. If the beatport stage last year was cold cuz it was by the water - i can only imagine being in the water. (not literally In it)

oh joy, another Sunday night party. Where exactly do these promoters think the crowds are going to come from at this point?

i feel yeah bemma, sunday is usually stacked but this years its out of hand. we went from no parties to about 20 more then the crowds can handle. some of this is going to dead.

For every great party there has to be an after party. Not all after parties are great, but not all after parties are on a boat in Detroit....

On Sunday, May 24th, Paxahau, Cheap Sunglasses, and Redbull Music Academy team up to bring music lovers everywhere the official Movement '09 After Party on the "Detroit Princess", docked directly in Hart Plaza on the river.




Details:

Boarding begins directly after the festival, promptly at 12 Midnight. The Princess will leave at 1:30 AM with or without you, so get on the boat!

The cruise will go for 2 hours, returning approximately 3:30. After that, the Princess will remain docked, with the party still going strong. You will be allowed to get off the boat if you so desire, or you will be able to get on the boat to finish the night out right.

Alcohol will be served.

As many of you are seasoned veteran party goers and festival attendees, you know that the costs involved with doing a boat party are tremendous, especially one with 3 rooms and a lineup as stacked as this one.
