Yes, I have been in the situation you describe more times than I care to remember (or actually, dont remember, lol). Definitely not pleasant at all. I have really tried to curb the drinking for that exact reason. I now feel that even though alcohol can enhance the night, too much has often resulted in a diminished experienced. I got tired of looking back on an evening and not remembering what was certainly some of the best parts. I still fall off the horse from time to time, but for the most part I think I've really refined my partying to the point that I enjoy each and every event to the fullest. If I do anything, I try to do it in moderation, and let the music take care of the rest. The way this approach has benefitted me the most is my recovery time. I recharge so easily now and can keep going day after day. In any case, to each his own. Lookin forward to the island!!

here's my take on what sets ibiza apart....
The first time i stepped off the plane on the ibiza runway, this rockstar party girl leaped off the steps and kissed the runway and just screamed IBIZA! right then and there i knew it was gonna be incredible. Ibiza is different because everybody is so chill over there and they go to ibiza to party, meet new people, and just have the time of their lives. Ibiza is like a secret without being a secret for clubbing. There is something there for everyone. All the best DJ's play there every single night, seven days a week for 3+ months every year. You can ask any DJ and they will tell you the same thing, they all play that much better when they play Ibiza. The parties and the atmosphere are unmatchable to anything i've ever seen. The clubs are always crazy packed but people don't care because they are so sucked into the party that it doesnt matter anyway. The vibe around ibiza is something very unique, which is why they call it "that balearic feeling". Its very special and very humbling at the same time, its something that everyone respects hence why people are so chill and everybody is on the same page.
From the time you see your first sunset from cafe mambo or cafe del mar you will see what i'm talking about. There is no words to really describe your first ibiza sunset, it really takes your breath away the first time you sit on that rocky beach with a great drink in your hand, surrounded by hundreds of people and listening to the world's best DJ's for free as the sun sets. And when it does and everybody claps and goes crazy because the sun setting means that the night is beginning is a feeling you will experience no where else.
So enjoy ibiza for its stunning beaches, the best sunsets and clubs in the world, and of course for the world class DJ's and believe me when i tell you that its gonna be one of the greatest times of your life!
^Good stuff

I need a hotel/apartment in playa den bossa for 5-6 people. Any recommendations? I've been looking at the Jet apartments. Anyone stay there? reviews?

Originally posted by Neo95gt Yeah that's what I figure. Not too many places can hold more than 4 people, even apartments. Jet looks alright, nothing fancy but doesn't look toooo beat down.

Originally posted by AbcGum We stayed at Jet last year, and had a great time. The rooms were nothing special, but it had a nice balcony, fridge, stove, A/C, and TV. We saved money by buying groceries and alcohol at the store that is part of Jet. The Hotel/Apartments are about a 5 minute walk to space and a short cab/bus ride to Ibiza town, which puts you walking distance to Pacha. If I was going with 6 people, I would definitely stay at Jet.
We initially booked the Bossa Mar apartment, but when we got there they put us in the "Jet". It was a nice upgrade. We were happy about the large balcony, as you could see the water, but it wasn't directly facing the water, but it was nice none the less. There are some balconies that face directly to the water, which would be ideal if you could get one.
We'll probably stay somewhere else next time, not because we didn't like Jet, but just to experience something else.

Can anyone recomend a decent place to stay for just my girlfriend and I that isnt overpriced?
Going on a trip with the family to France early June and managed to make some slight flight changes...Going to Ibiza from the 11th to 19th! Going solo.
Need somewhere to stay... I've seen a lot of people talk up the Jet complex on these forums, as well as Garbi on the spotlight forums. Any suggestions, and more importantly, any cool peeps gonna be there the same time I am? 4-year WMC veteran, I can hang
(ibiza virgin, obviously.)
edit... hmmm, did some more research and it seems like hotel garbi is nicer and actually cheaper for the dates i'm going.
oh knowledgeable pvdobsession, any tips/thoughts/suggestions?

Originally posted by AbcGum Garbi is a good option. I stayed there before the renovation, which I think happened last year. It looked like they had done a lot to it when I walked by it last summer. When I stayed there is was full of clubbers and young people. If I was going solo, I would definitely stay there. You can walk to space in about 10 minutes. There is a bar across the street called Coco's, I think Cream does a pre-party there, which means you'll be able to find most anything you're looking for.
Thanks! Ill probably book this afternoon. The hotel did seem super nice, it makes sense now knowing it was recently renovated.

I wound up booking a single room for my 2 first nights at Fiesta Hotel Playa d'en Bossa...it's right by Bora Bora and walking distance to Space...so that works for me. I dont need anything special since I wont be in my room 99 percent of the time haha.
