Bipolar disorder is no joke, I've seen a grown man in the middle of work break down into tears out of the blue at my old job. When I asked my supervisor what was up, he simply replied that he's been struggling with his bipolar disorder befor I even started working there. Science got it down to a chemical inbalance and fucked up electrical currents not passing through in a "normal" way through stem cells. I can't imagine the way it really is to live with it.

yeah, bipolar disorder is no joking matter. i know of a relative who's suffered from this and it's terrible; it can really deteriorate a person's integrity within society, a person can drastically change from different states in short time spans. scary stuff.

if you think you have a disorder like this, well i'd suggest going to a doctor immediately. you don't want to be diagnosed a bipolar when you're forty years old IMO.

I have very little knowledge in what doctors use to treat such a disorder.

Yeah I dunno man...I've seen people do some hilarious shit and act like fucking morons during manic episodes. I would certainly call it funny/laughable. Lololololol.

And those people likely represent a ridiculously small % of people with mental disorders and/or illnesses.

not to mention attempting to split people into these two groups would be an almost impossible task.

I was kicked out of a casino yesterday cause I snapped on a security guard for being such an ass and he really was.

I almost went to the pen in some other incident.

can anyone relate with this bipolar shit Im going through?

I have been in the pen, thanks to my own stupidity.
Are you sure E and/or liquor is not the cause of your descent?

He doesn't really have bipolar disorder. He's just stupid and can't control his emotions.

I guess he couldn't handle the favoritism certain members receive. Don't ban him, instead give him so much attention that his soul will become so vain that he will be exhausted and he will grow tired and shed his skin like a new snake. But who has the time to help people these days.

I do workout though and Ive been going 3-5 times a week in the past 3 months. workout is good but the good feelings only last till you fall asleep. the next day, your brain goes back to the typical shit again.

w/e. I hope I grow outta this shit. I should be locked up right now but it seems like the one above is giving me some chances.

alcohol and drugs are known to induce a period of psychosis,

aka, you've been fucking up your body, so your mental health deteriorated, & now you find yourself in out-of-balance.

Only a very small percentage of the population has bipolar syndrome, its around 0.3% to 0.5%, less than 1% of people have it.

Along with the fact that you have to be depressed for a few months, experience a few months of mania, then go back to months of depression before being diagnosed as bipolar. The Lithium could work.

What you have is bi-douchiery. Meaning, you are always a douche.

what you just described above is someone who is cycling depression.

bipolar people dont stay depressed for months, the cycle between mania and depression have to be much faster than that.

Life is a test, and your bipolar disorder is probably your toughest test to face. You see, when our temporary life on earth expires, we will eventually be faced with our God (our maker) and he will reward you for all the tests that you have passed in your lifetime.

So, try your best to cope with this disorder, which is caused by Satan's demons that try to make your life a living hell. I'm sure you must be extremely stressed with all of this happening, but, the least you can do is have faith in God and that he really wants you to pull through this unfortunate disorder. I can't imagine what it's like to be bipolar, but all I know is that once you survive this battle you won't regret it when you're in Heaven.

I'll pray for you, sincerely. This message is my personal testimony to you as I have encountered God on many occasions in my own life. He is there, and believe me, he is real, I hope you'll pull through and I'll see you on the other side

P.S. Just listen to your favourite trance tracks whenever symptoms arise.. I guarantee you it'll help calm it down.

dude you are delusional. religion is not the answer.

We take care of our sick. You don't. My roommate who is looking over my shoulder as I type, said this time, I shouldn't back down because your country does a very poor job of caring for it's mentally ill. (She has an MD and just finished her phd in psychiatry at Stanford.) And she is American.

But common sense, dude, if you took proper care of your mentally ill, they wouldn't be in prisons. You yourself said prisons in all of your states are full of the mentally ill.

Go figure.

someone please define "mentally ill"

Kinda laughing at Zidumare replying to all these posts that are years old now.

On a serious note, bi-polar is a very serious condition; quite possibly one of the worst mental illnesses. Imagine being unable to control yourself from selling your house, sleeping with your best friend's spouse, flying to the other side of the world on a whim or deciding to try smack for the first time because the mood struck you. It would be truly awful.

who said bipolar people arent in control of themselves. you are in great misunderstanding my friend, why bipolar people act the way they do.

what you just described are impulses or desires, and everyone has those.

there are some psychiatrists out there who have come out and said that the label "bi-polar" is wrong due to the fact that some individuals with

"bi-polar" disorder can be both depressed and manic at the same time,
meaning that the they are experiencing both poles at the same time,

instead of the cycling between the two poles.
