the only thing real that biggie could rap about was being poor as a kid. he threw himself into that whole scene. did you see his movie? it was the story of his life and it wasn't that bad. you probably had a more dysfunctional childhood than he did lol it was a great movie actually the actor who played him was amazing.

Posted by Slylee on Sep-19-2009 01:55:

g-unit is basically 50 cent and the game and lloyd banks (also great). are you honestly saying neither of them are great rappers?

Posted by lenazi on Sep-19-2009 01:57:

that is exactly what i am saying.

no soul

no meaning

no production value.

50 cent and his band of asskissers are the 2 girls one cup of rap music.

people listen to them because they know they will throw up and laugh about it later.

to be honest, i really appreciate the production/sound of the songs that group put out more than the lyrics. they are fun lyrics. "good life" lyrics. you dont always have to have a fucking story about being shot and shit in hip hop lol

nevermind this is pointless i have no idea where you're coming from all of a sudden being an elitest about hip hop. it's fuckin hilarious

man usually coming out the winner is a great thing, but to be fair it just feels tainted against someone so unworthy.

I love ODB on this track. I can just imagine the studio filled with hard niggas and then ODB starts doing his spitting and singing ensemble, hands in the air like he's doing an opera.
And his EBT card is representing yo.

goodlife lyrics? are you talking about G Unit or tribe????

and fifty doesnt rap about being shot n shiiiiiit????

the guys whole marketing when he came out was that he got shot 5 times in the face. lol. that was his whole marketing plan.
all he raps about is guns and shooting other niggas and gang banging. quit listening to the radio theres a big difference in hip hop when it comes to single and album.

and heres the other problem with commercial hip hop. why does it always have to be about guns and the good life?? why does everyone try to be like pac and big??? get some new ideas. pac and biggie sold that from rags to riches as a thug idea...its done...its over.. I remember when popular hip hop was about house parties and getting with a fly girl. good times etc. something the audience could relate too. Now its about, how can i lie to make the audience jealous of me

slylee is just mad that she works in a gift shop.

that is why she likes windowshopper so much as "lyrical genius".

Bone thugs n harmony seems to be a like-it-or-you-don't group because of the way they rap, but I thought they were among the best rap groups of the 90s and put out some real bangers.
