lol I think my foursquare addiction is back in full swing... currently 1st in the city!

Do people really put things like subway stops and stuff? That seems like its going too far.

I hope people don't check in when at work!

haha I got in a good debate on whether or not its against the rules to check into a stop even if you are just passing through.

But there are some check ins that are really questionable - and very funny. My favourite check in is 'Jesus Screamer Guy' at Yonge/Dundas.

when I do get another phone I'll be tempted to be the mayor of every stop on Y/U/S

You mean when you checked into every store in the Eaton Center one right after another?!

Posted by smuncky on May-03-2010 23:04:

I only check into stations I get on/off at. Seems reasonable.

And of course u check in when you're at work. Nothing like being mayor of your workplace

Posted by smuncky on May-03-2010 23:34:

Oh and please use selective tweeting and not tweet every location you're at lol. That goes for Facebook too.

Yeah in regards to subway stations, same here. That's fair game. As for checking in to work... Damn straight! My goal over the next two weeks is to overtake the current mayor of BBDO. I know I'm almost there!

I'm in a constant battle with a guy at work for Mayorship too.. he wanted to compromise and take the 5th floor and allow me to take the 4th.. I said no go... it's all up for grabbing!

lol how's that possible? if everyone checks in once a day, wouldn't everyone be at the same level? don't tell me you'd check in every time you'd go for lunch/meetings, cos that's like Aj checking into some random neighbor's house almost lol

Lol... not quite... he is an inconsistent user... and I'm not far off... so it's possible...

Yeah I check back in for lunch... I think that's fair... If I leave for however long I want to take for lunch and then come back is that not fair game?

Now... If I checked in every time I had to make a run to Proximity on the 29th floor, or Studio on 31st... that would be lame, I do that regularly a dozen times a day (for each of those floors) when I have mad amounts of creative to ship or workflow to manage... And even if I did that, it would probably stop awarding me points...

edit... Why do I use ellipses so much?

I don't get any higher score for doing so, it's for security. An now that I upgraded to an iphone with a GPS, I can't checkin from home unless I'm in my basement away from satellite signal. If foursquare finds you checking in too far from the place you say you're at, it will check you in, but not cresdit any oints at all, ziltch.

You checked in to Sears three times today, in different departments in the same building

My work = sears headoffice
If I shop for something = sears canada
If I am eating = sears cananda

I only check in to a location once a day.. I think it's lame to check in multiple times...and even more lame to check in to every location you pass by. I have a hard time believing people actually go to 10+ locations everyday.
