as a producer i can tell you that for once, osterzone isn't completely wrong. that video is a bad example. the first two or three tracks in that clip definitely did have ridiculously similar chord progressions and pluck patterns, but after hearing the rest of the examples, it's clear that the only thing similar between all of those melodies are similar rhythms.
so yes, they are all similar. no, none of them are exactly the same. yes, they all share a common rhythmic motif. yes, all of it was shit.
