Moving on...PLEASE.

Review:

Today was all about the Sunday School Tent!!! Ida, Liebing, Ritchie: holy f*cking sick beats in that tent, wowza!!!! Gabriel and Dresden were cool to listen to some ol skool songs, but I didnt really like many of the remixes. I wish that at least one or two songs were the originals, but thats just me wanting to be nostalgic.

Tried seeing Armin for a bit. I am glad he at least picked up the pace from last year, but it really did absolutely nothing for me or anyone around me. Even the Ferry "Out of the Blue" remix of some sort was pretty bad. A lot of people left, which was surprising. I figured the kiddies would stay, but they all bounced! Weird. Last year I had to weed through HOARDS of people to get to a decent viewing area of Armin, where as this year, about half the crowd ditched after Afrojack, and never came back. That tells you a thing or two I guess! I got an "I told you so" from a couple people (you know who you are).....Oh well, the kiddies like it, so I moved on to Ritchie who destroyed the Sunday School, and I am so glad that I ended there.

do you think it was Armin or more of a transportation situation? Getting out of EZ last year was a BITCH. I ended up paying $80 for cab to downtown and ****** had the balls to pick up 2 more people to ride along with us, whom he also charged $50 when we arrived, whereas I thought we'd split the fare.

I thought Armin's set was MUCH better than expected and definitely more memorable than last year's. The "Beautiful things" mash up was FANTASTIC!!! And G&D set was bloody good too.

Sidebar: I really wanted to go and I was really hoping to catch Carl Cox and Hawtin, along with Markus but my usual party pals were too busy with life, work, too broke to go, coaching soccer tournaments, etc. and I didn't feel like going by myself, on top of other reservations I outlined earlier.

I nearly bit the bullet 2 days before the event and bought the tix but looking at the schedule, I realized that acts I wanted to see were overlapping with others, forcing to choose and I didn't want to see much of anyone else, so I didn't feel it was worth it. I guess if you got tons of friends that are with you, it probably would have been fun(er), even with shitty acts.

Hope they bring more trance acts/live acts next year and some less predictable headliners too. I'd love to see at next EZ:

Roger Shah
Menno De Jong
Airbase
Carl Cox (main stage/closer)
Sasha
Faithless
J00F
Lindstrom (again, please!)
Michael Cassette

and fuck, while I'm wishing.. .why the hell not:

JEAN MICHEL JARRE!!!!

i <3 techno.

Ida was just pure sexy and the music was hot

Chris Liebing owned us

I saw 40 mins of G&B, not bad, very hot and packed in that tent. I saw a little bit of EDX and hardwell...don't remember much from them to be honest.

I jumped to Dubfire, I was walking by a dubstep tent and I was in shock for few secs. I had to start walking/running to get away from that pure shit.

Dubfire and Richie Hawtin owned me too. I couldn't stop moving at all. Left at 10.

Didn't know that AVB had fireworks, i didnt bother going there anyway.

My legs got destroyed on this day.

OH and lol @ people leaving rather quickly when Snoop came on.

Most of NY's getting butthurt when you trolling of EZ, baww expected, but some time don't realize even mirrors are failing them like the positive thinker [lulz wtfits fail with phd] here in denial of fail. 70% of it was pure cheese listening to same cheesy recycled electro, progressive, dutch, and commercial house, tunes all over the summer is cool!11111.

This has to be an alt trolling. Really, this is your first post on this forum?

P.S. The place that we have a conversation about the sets that can be downloaded or that people listened to on Sirius is here - http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...41&forumid=6&s=

Actually, I have to say, that the transpo was on point this year! I left at the end two of the days, and an hour early one day: never had to wait in line for the bus! I was really, really impressed with this aspect and have to thank Made for that. The shuttle + MTA buses took everyone out twice as fast as previous years, it was awesome. Not sure about the Ferry.

And of course, friends ALWAYS make the party I certainly wouldnt have had as much fun with out all of them so I understand that you didnt want to come without them It would certainly still be fun, but not the same.

Yes, Armin really WAS better than last year. No doubt about that. Much more upbeat. I think the crowd was exhausted, half of them left, the vibe wasnt as fierce, and he wasnt playing anything mindblowing for 30minutes, so at that point, we just needed something to keep us moving, thus we didnt keel over from 3 days of non-stop dancing. I'm sure he picked it up as he usually does, but I just wasnt around to see it

Braw I was there in first place and I'm commenting on music and pointing out how ny'ers get butthurt immediately once you say anything bad about ez..Secondly what author of the thread specifies in the thread is the review of it, he doesn't mention necessarily that you had to be there to review it/or comment on it .. But great to know it's another threat just for those who downloaded it.

blame the recent dubstep fad and the kids who think they're "ravers" now because they listen to skrillex

I would like to see Ronski Speed,Daniel Kandi,Alex M.O.R.P.H,Giuseppe Ottaviani,John Askew,Leon Bolier,Dave202, Juventa for a change tech trance should make a come back, and Roger Shah. Also if leave a day to each genre trance/ house /electro ,rather than mix all kind of dj's in same place.

Man, the vibe was completely different from tent to tent, gotta hand it to Made for catering to all flavors, I was able to avoid that dutch house and dubtrance remix b.s. for almost the festival's entirety while being able to find some good talent at whatever time of the day it was.
