I would prefer downtown ... but Downsview is fine too. I mean they used to have big raves in the boonies all the time way back when so Downsview won't be much of a trek in comparison (for me anyways).

they will have shuttle busses as far as i know, plus subway runs down there too (at least one way)

Agreed. I'm not too bothered by the actual location itself, but the fact that it has been billed as a "downtown" location, when its in fact North York, really irratates me. Why lie and decieve your clients?

Sunnyside is a lot more downtown than Downsview!

Yup, I honestly don't care it's at Downsview but it's lame to promote it as downtown. I've committed to other events the same night that I wouldn't of if it was originally announced to be there.

Why does everyone always complain so f'n much on this forum? F-off and stay home then! You clearly won't have fun if the location is bothering you so much.

IT'S 100 PERCENT CLEAR they had permit or licensing issues at the other location, so they scrambled to move it instead of canceling.

This doesn't sound like a negative to me....

If anything this will weed out the complaining bitches and make room for those who want to be there.

Be thankful someone was kind enough to spend the money to host this party for you. And STOP COMPLAINING!!!!!

Okay im gonna clear the air right now so EVERYONE knows exactly whats up. As you guys know this is NOT my Party. However Platform is helping in the promotions and bookings. And we think it will be a great party so we are pushing it and proud to be a part of it.

So here it is.....

1) The Original Venue Booked for this event was at one of the Cinespace's Warehouses in the east end of the City. Aroudn Cherry St.

Cinespace owns about 15 warehouse's in about 4 to 5 diferent locations
across the city.

The east end warehouse was booked quite awhile ago.
And this location was definately a downtown Warehouse.

But then something strange happened a few weeks ago.

Basically while shooting Resident Evil 5 in the planned warehouse a bunch of actors and extras were seriously injured because some type of stage,set or stagging collapsed. Thank god Milla Jovoiwich was not hurt lol.... anyways the cops came to investiagate and shut down the warehouse until they deemed it fit. The warehouse is still under investigation for what exactly happened. The Cinespace people deemed this as a crisis and then wanted the party moved to one of their other
warehouses. Hence Downsview.

Now for the People complaining about Downsview you need to wake up a bit and understand that the new venue was one of the best venues back in the day. Yest its a little more out of the city but cmon its time for a change and a fresh space...this is it.Take a journey and learn
something....
