I have no debt. I pay no taxes. I don't wear condoms.

because you can reduce your loan by about 10% each year if you claim and have some evidence that you cannot afford to make the payments. Numbers are easy to fudge. Does not hurt your credit record. Same reason why you always go for the maximum at least in Canada as they reduce it automatically.

The guy that takes out 30 000 pays the same amount back compared to the jerk that took 50 000. More or less.

Got my tax refund yesterday - used up the last of my tuition credits and got nearly 3 grand back. Put the majority of it back in the bank/towards my debt...and although it would have been much more fun to spend all of it on myself, it definitely feels way more settling to shave a couple months off my repayment schedule. Can't wait til the end of 2014. I'm gonna take all my friends out to celebrate having all of my money for myself again.

Gonna suck not having tuition credits anymore though. :/

But, Jenny, spending and living in debt is THE THING TO DO...Everybody is doing it!!

Nou is so concerned about this that he doesn't spend any of his own money.

Well technically I am living in debt, haha. And I still spend my money - just not as much of it in the way I really want to. :/
