I am so envious that you are going to hear 'Guide me God' and 'Nothing But You' in all their live glory ... maybe the new PvD productions, as well as P.O.S - Remember Summer Sun (WoW!)
I will try to make it out to the city, otherwise we will meet at the WMC this yr!

About Arctic (nothing but you), don`t really like it that much...
tuned in a little before 12 Eastern to see if could catch the Tiesto set and heard some kewl tunes by the DJ over at Radius. (Natalia has a wonderful voice. she should have been the one at space rather than Buster)
In between they played the commercial for the Tiesto @ space announcement and the person said 'DJ God Tiesto'. WTF??
Noel Sanger's set was great (what i could hear anyway. They need to move the mic up closer to the speakers fer cryin out loud. Don't wanna turn up the volume only to get blasted by that idiot MC worshipping (sic) Tiesto's feet[no diss to Tiesto, just the lamer MC]). Unfortunately, i fell asleep an hour into his set (15 hour days caught up with me). Might check out the Tiesto set when it comes available.
Peace out,
LC
Tiesto14 and Choobak, I'm glad you appreciated this broadcast of Tiesto. But reality is, he played almost all of these tracks at the Roxy and the mixing was just as decent. Being there live makes anyone more picky and bitchy about mixing because you have the booming bass right at you and the truth is that Roxy's sound system sucks, but Tiesto was the same dj and same guy both nights.
This was only a 50 mins. broadcast, i bet he still ended with Gatex and managed to control the crowd throughout the whole set.
Tiesto even owned Starfox. Than means that Tiesto is not gone, he's still the man at the top of his game.
I have an opinion and I stand by it... I did not appreciate this broadcast.. it only made me realize how much of an ass tiesto really is... he screwed us over in New York... his mixing was better in Space.. I don't care how much booming bass there was at Roxy or how bad the sound system was... every mix at Space was better than any mix at Roxy... the timing was better... he brought in tracks and channels at decent spots and didn't make any blatant mistakes...
I'm glad you think he was able to control the crowd too... that's really great... too bad I don't give a shit...
my whole argument all along has been that tiesto is full of himself and doesn't give a shit about his mixing... i don't care if he can control the crowd with his cadences (
) or pick magikal tracks... he can't mix and that kills a set in my opinion... now lay off...
"da fuxx is this.."
man you guys whine to much at least you get to hear him live, I dont get to hear jack over here

Space has a more mature audience and less "raver" kids.........in fact u have to dress up to get in Space. Tiesto probably thinks the crowd would have more respect for him cuz they dress up This is just an assumption by me..............Different style/reaction to different crowd Hopefully he'll pull off some good mixing this thursday...........Me and a couple of TAs will give a review afterwards |
standards then they get a shitty set and a shitty attitude...
That fact that you didn't like it doesn't mean he sucked, it just means that you didn't like it. All about taste. You even missed the last hour and a half which was the best part of the set.
