I guess thats what happens when you go to puke and pass out on the toilet seat. Plus for my trouble of helping her out of the club what did I get? Puked on. F#$%in fantastic. Note to self: Lots of Rev for my gf = bad. I did have a blast because Luke Fair definitely owned me. I'm upset that I missed Cowgirl (Bedrock Remix) cuz I've always wanted to hear that on a big system. Oh well, maybe next time. Well, I have to get to work now. Talk to ya'll laters. Bod P.S. Lynx, we never got introduced mate... Boo on that one. Maybe next time I come up to Toronto. |
i didn't see you there @ allll. boooo. it's coo tho. we'll try to set up a better meeting or somethin next time
there were just to many peepz and TAs all over the place. i was mainly on the left-middle part of the area. not that that narrows it down. haha.

She did an excellent job, but there was just WAY too many people.

lol, im glad my days of fake id's are gone with, bouncers seem like such nice people when your not afraid they're gonna kick ur arse outta line after waiting soooo long.
can't wait for da pics...
I just picked mine up today. Sorry but I'm computer retarded and have no idea how to post them on here. I don't even have a scanner but I'll have my friend help me tomorrow after his last exam.
Fucking disposable cameras suck ass. I'm going to steal my mom's high quality digital camera next time. I was up close (as close as you could get - in front of the sub woofers) and the pics are all dark and shit. The pics show how tired and somewhat unhappy Tijs was, though I have a few good ones with him smiling and doing his "magik fingers". I want to see Tiesto somewhere other than toronto next time....I don't think it's one of his favourite cities.
Review
Still hurting from saturday. not able to give my review yet.
i can say without a doubt that Tiesto is much much more capable of dropping a better set than he did. i was under the impression he was like "give me money so i can get out of here".
I had a great time because of the crowd. Parties like that bring everyone in so its a big reunion. It was good meeting all the TAs. I tried to find you all later but couldnt.
Ok, I agree that his "music set" could have been better. But for me, it was the first time EVER seeing Tiesto. He was within arm's reach for me for over 3 hours and just the fact that I was seeing him IN PERSON, smiling and giving the thumbs up, dancing around and doing his "magik fingers".....fuck, I was just so happy. I'm sure he's been "more into it" on other occaisions, but it was a very emotional moment for me. I had a few tears in my eyes as soon as I saw him come on the stage. Yeah, call me whatever you want, but Tiesto means a great deal to me. His music is primo.
If Tiesto had not dissappeared and stayed for 45 mins more with a strong encore, would have been an amazing set, the set up until he quit was strong and had me grooving hard. So set not bad, if it had more time to it. It had tiesto build magic in it and the the xtra 45 mins or so would have broken the roof. But Deko-ze rocked so I was not dissappointed.
Cant get Roc Project - Never outta of my head - loved yelling the lyrics.
Did he play the new Ralphie/Midway tune?? Inca i think its called.

Last time I saw him in Oct (2001) he dropped Urban train and then "Free" (I forget by who) as his last encore track and he finished at about 5:30/5:40 I think then. Party was still good though.
ooooh I just rememberd that he also played
nightvision - believin (J & R remix)!!!
woooow that was a nice song to hear, I went crazy when he dropped that one!!
Tiesto
Just found this site...great stuff. I was at Tiesto Sat, I agree, an average set compared to many of the live sets from '02...must admit I was hoping to hear a little Southern Sun...still the undisputed king of progressive, no one else gets me moving like that. 5:00, didn't drop that night, had been out since 6 pm, and I was STILL hoping he'd stay out there!
ya tiesto could have spun a bit longer........ i was dissapointed when he left so soon...many of the people in the venue payed over $30 for tickets...... but Deko-ze made it up to me...... I dont really know anyother TA's by face...... but i did see Swamper! HI!
oh and the place wasnt as packed as i thought it would be.....
all round i give it a 8/10......
LUKE FAIR sucks
I wasnt going to post anything .. but I cant believe people are giving luke fair a 10/10 .. he was probably the worst dj I have ever seen.. it was absolutely horrible, I almost left. I have never been so annoyed by a dj in my life, I actually wanted to take out a gun and shoot him. the bass was horrible
Luke fair 0/10
Tiesto 8.5/10 (yes I wish he played more trance but it was still amazing)
montreal is better then TO
I hate to say this guys, but montreal is a much better place to party in. I went to tiesto friday and saturday night I had the best night of my life at Aria. the atmosphere was amazing. TO Is horrible.. great clubs , terrible crowd. If you havent been to aria yet, I think you should go.

omg the red glowsticks i cracked at 11pm at guv on SAT are STILL glowing!!!
This party was so easy to predict. It was basically exactly what I expected. A packed crowd, hot and sweaty, and a mostly predictable set from Tijs.
This is not a bad thing though. I heard tons of tracks I wanted him to play and would have been disappointed if they weren't played.
Iio - At the end (scumfrog)
Conjure One - Tears from the Moon (Tiesto ISOS)
Lange - Don't think it feel it
Green Martian - Wizardry ... would have prefered Harmonic Minor
Tomcraft - Loneliness ... Would have been my song of the night if I didn't play it 5 times a day for 2 weeks straight.
Madonna - Die Another Day (Tiesto Dedicated Mix) - OMG first time hearing this track. MY song of the night!
Roc Project - Never (Tiesto mix)
Flight 643 - I loved how the crowd went insane for this one. Would have prefered Lethal Industry though.
Mindcircus was great to hear too!!
+so many more amazing tunes
It was almost surreal looking at Tiesto up on the decks. To me he's no different from than any other huge celebrity and everytime I see him in person I go "holy fuck thats actually Tiesto up there". At times he did seem tired but he was also having a good time. 3 hours and 15 minute set was disappointing a little bit and the lack of an encore was kinda rude. I agree with Swamper that he didn't take it up to the very limit as we hoped. Over all nothing mind blowing. A predictable set with a familiar tracklist but they were songs I liked so its not really a complaint.
After Tiesto went off. Dekoze steps up to the decks and I was shocked and elated as it was not expected. Having seen Dekoze countless number of times I knew that this meant the night was not over. And luckily for Dekoze Tiesto left the roof up for him to bring it down. I was expecting a closer who played something with less tempo. But Dekoze plays it hard funky techy and trancy. Heard some awesome tunes but can't recall many names right now except for better man which was a great closing track.
Parties like this though it is more about the people. And holy crap this was like the whose who of the party scene for me. Ya Highroller that was hilarious when we walked to the washrooms after we got in and I had to say whats up and chat for a sec to about 10 people. It was great to have so many friends there but it made it hard to decided where I wanted to spend most of my time. Eventually I just merged crews with Malice and we took over a corner with more space (special thanks for the after-chill it was awesome!).
Best TA meet up I've ever been to! This is the best group to party with ever! Such a positive vibe. Mad respect! It makes every good party a great one. Met so many for the first time too! Which is always a good thing. There is no hope that i will remember everyone as its seems other have since there was way too many out there.
Shouts:
Malice, Liquidchick and Crew. Spent most of the night with y'all and it was sick. Next time maybe I can plan something for an after-party at my Sis's place so i can return the hospitality.
Sober247 - My Bunring hommie!! That was one excellent conversation we had just b4 4:20 ; We'll link up soon. Cottage crew reunion?
tatgirl - Next time I will smoke ya up but i'll make sure its after.
Mike and Jenna - Since I know that you'll be reading this! We need to spend time in the future. *finds true north card*
Pre-Meet crew - The perfect precurser b4 a party to get you in the right mood.
Luke Fair - 6/10: It got me moving but it also had me standing when I wanted to be moving.
DJ Tiesto - 8/10: Still a good set but he could have done a little better.
Dekoze - 9/10: Didn't steal the show from Tiesto or anything but rocked it still!
Crowd - 6/10: A bit of everything there but there was a vibe in there and People I met were pretty cool. Only can think of 2 idiots that bothered me that night which is good ratio for that venue. But ya bit too crowded.
Sound - 5/10: Loud bass hurts ears.
Overall - 7.5/10
OK damn thats it .. the last time I ever write such a long review. But there was so much to say.
END!
AAAAaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhh!!!!!!
Today, I took home another card reader, and it didn't work either. Muddafukkah!
