(rain man mode on): I like ferry corsten....

Posted by MiC on Mar-12-2003 03:19:

I Know i'm a little late for a review, but i'd just like to say that it was my first time seeing BT, Holden or Ferry and I was totally blown away by all of them. The fact that Holden is only 23 (like me)and such a success is a real inspiration to trance lovers/producers trying to record a big hit track. My only complaint was that Ferry was a little late, and my chest started to collapse being in the Guv/Drink/Goldclub for 7hours...so i had to bail in the middle of Ferry's set..but at least i still got to see him in the flesh spinning a good opener. Totally awesome night. Shirtless meatheads got annoying but the rest of the crowd was top notch class and well represented the awesome T.O party people that we are.

when: during corsten's set..time frame? I dunno..I know for sure it was after the muscle-bound shirtless sweaty guy asked for a hug...which was the last time i checked the time..4:30...and we left at 715...so somewhere in between there.
where: kind of in the centre of KH...like where the disco ball is but a bit closer to the stage

I was pretty sure you noticed me staring..cuz you gave me the universal look of being slightly disturbed that someone you don't know is looking at you for an extended period of time.

cs

note* not that anyone cares, but i didn't hug the sweaty meathead. I'm pretty cavalier w/ hugs but I don't do shirtless and sweaty..well maybe if it was ashton kutcher

Ya sure when there is something positive to say. Read my post - I was happy with the music and thought the DJs did a bang up job. No complaint there. I and others had a problem with the way the club handled aspects of the night. I've said plenty of positive things about Viva, System and other clubs that have their shit together.

Don't judge me based on one post.

lol, oh ya, it's obviously Charles Kabouth's fault The thing didn't skip much during Holden (i don't remember it skipping at all)...only when Ferry came did it really go crazy during the first track. Fool probably doesn't know how to handle a turntable (that would explain why he sucks! j/k).

Posted by LKD on Mar-13-2003 16:16:

^^^^ actually i remember a couple of times when it skipped for holden...mainly cos of those ditzy women comin g up to hug him now and then and that JD that went down his system..

Posted by quddha on Mar-13-2003 18:29:

jh thought canada was really cool..

http://www.jamesholden.org.uk

too bad I missed the party (shtoopid midterm week), sounded hype.

Posted by Jayx1 on Mar-13-2003 18:35:

Huh?

all the locals are talking negative about the party.....all the out of towners have nothing but praise.... am i missing something here??

Posted by itikia on Mar-13-2003 19:02:

Ok guys, I have to stand in and defend both Holden, Ferry and the Guv technical team.

The problem that they faced was BT's lab top. They had to diconnect the damn thing and try and install the turntable, which took its place, but were unsuccessful. Holden was already playing his first record and there was like 3 people in the DJ booth area trying to get everything up and running. One of the techies bumped the turntable that was playing Holden's first choon and sure enough it skipped.

During Ferry's set the same thing happened. Someone standing in the booth bumbed the table, again, hence the skipage. I was standing backstage watching all of this unfold.

Jayx1: lighten up man.

^^^^^ ya we dont care..jsut saying that...they all rocked no matter wat...there were some glitches that night but who cares..we all had a blast

Posted by Jayx1 on Mar-13-2003 20:14:

:D

itikia: that's exactly what I am asking everyone else to do is lighten up man! hehehehehe
