Damn, that blows. You'd think in all of Colorado there would be a few more stores

Wow...the new Matt Hardwick vs Smith & Pleger remix is *really* dissapointing, especially coming off of Connected and Day One
I guess my hopes were too high.
elletek!
i have ablunt question for you...what is your involvement in the DJ shop and TAW shows you promote?
are you here because of them, there because of TA or some strange inbetween?
im just curious as the music industry seems to be filled with a LOT of half made, questionably shady deals.
im not experienced, and dont blame you - but surely for all the promotion you are getting compensated? i dont mean to be overly critical - but it seems in a community like TA and a location like Denver metro you would think more people tuned into the scene would be working it.
as far as The Church and Vinyl go - im not so sure tho, despite the occasional blissful moments|
All I have to say is Stephen Hawking's Tenny Boots!!!!!!
Go check out "Shark After Dark Records". My friend Frankie Finns just opened it. Lots of old school classics available at reasonable rates. It's on Broadway South of Evans. On the east side just past the Pizza Hut/Taco Bell.
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I was in Texas all last week with family. Nice, relaxing times.
BT @ The Church Dec. 30th w00t!!
Definitely be going to that...!! Club Vinyl is back up and going, too... I'll be back in CO for a few weeks for holiday break, gunna hit up some club nights with my friend.
Some of you guys know already and some don't, but I figured I would post it anyway.
I am throwing an event at the old club Pure (now Cervantes, at 26th and Welton). It is this Saturday and will showcase some great local talent. The party goes from 12am-6am and only costs $5 for 21+ and $10 for 18+. If any TA's wanna go, PM me with your full name and I'll get you on the list.
DJ's include: Etain vs. Split, Myself vs. GHOSH, DC vs. Schematic, James Michaels vs. Jeremy Ardor, and DJ US. Styles will range from progressive to trance to techno and hard house, back down thru breaks and trance to house. Should be a great time and we have a killer sound system lined up.

I believe it's a BT dj mix set. That's not such a good thing. Live PA, he's great. Djing, not so good.
I've heard the same, though he's supposed to have some disgusting breaks tracks in his bag...
Halliwell in one night bitches!
Big it up Halliwell!
If you don't see Halliwell tonight feel free to unregister from TA, thanks.

Hey fellas,
just curious, this seems like the thread to ask, anyone know of any record stores that sell dance (more specifically trance, but not necessarily just trance) records in Colorado? I don't mind driving a bit (though Denver is preferable), I googled it and I couldn't find a single decent record store.
Thanks.

Halliwell was pretty good, from what I heard, last night. I was a little bit wasted, but didn't seem as though he had any major fowl-ups. Really nice guy. I must have talked to him for 20-25 minutes.
Haha, last night in the VIP area was great man. Remember that annoying old girl who thought she was hot shit until she spilt the fact she either didn't graduate high school, or she only graduated high school(I can't remember which one)...if you're gonna act high n' mighty don't tell people that. Busting up in her face was great, and after I gave her a ton of shit and put her in her place she tried to be everyones best friend. Seriously, I wanted to throw her over the rail she was so damn annoying. Too bad she was such a slinky, her blonde friend with the fit body was cool.
On a side note, I did no face plants on the dancefloor...high fives all around.
On another side note, some rando girl grabbed my ass while I was walking around...I swear, the freaks were out last night.
Yeah. Last night was good times, for sure. Way to go on not falling down this time.
That girl was obnoxious. She is in graduate school right now, but she didn't graduate high school. She dropped out and got her GED. She probably is fairly smart. She called me out for not looking her in the eyes when talking to her, but I didn't really give a shit about what she thought. This hot girl I've known for a while kissed me though.
Check out my thread in Music Discussion about Eddie. Everyone flamed me for saying he was good. I guess he has a propensity for getting wasted and sucking ass, at times. I had never heard anything he had done until last night, so I didn't know that.

Damn, that Eddie thread is harsh. Even if he messes up often when other people hear him, he didn't do terrible things last night, at least not when I was in the main room. I was actually expecting a set more like his essential mix, but he was more toned down than that. I didn't talk to him so I can't say how drunk he may/may not have been. I understand people complaining when a DJ is wasted behind the decks, though. Those of us that have ever spun while heavily intoxicated think that the mixing isn't as bad when we know we've messed up, but if you've ever recorded it and played it back when you're sober you realize just how shite it sounded.
About that girl, I didn't really hear her say she was in grad school. I tuned her out after I realized she annoyed me greatly. Even if she's in grad school I don't give a crap, that doesn't give her the permission to piss everyone off...I think she's used to people kissing her ass in general or something, she sure did come off like that. Oh well, after I harassed her I think she got the idea that she can't act like a bitch to everyone she comes across. Too bad it was too late for me to care about anything else she had to say cause she was actually being nice then. It woulda been cool to hang with her friend though, seriously. Later on Chad saw the blonde one dancing with some cat and her annoying friend was nowhere in sight...too bad we didn't get to talk to her then. It's not often you randomly meet a chick, who you mesh with, in a club, especially one who's both cool and doesn't automatically assume you're hitting on her simply because you're in a conversation.
EDIT: Farley, you left your jacket here.
He did play alot like his essential mix, his second one anyways. He was even mixing the tracks in at the same point and doing the same tricks, lol. Only about 2-3 tracks in a row, but still, it was nice to hear live.
Heh, yeah...his 2nd one is the more toned down one, though. Well, toned down in the sense that he's not EQing, scratching as much as he does on the first one. Did you get your precious flyer signed?
Did your friends have a good time?
Oh yeah, next time we go out we should make it a point to order Silvermine when we get back, I woke up starving, "Which I hate." Haha, good ol' David Brent!
