Maybe someone can help me out here, I bought an iphone from Bell yesterday, it had the latest firmware on it, I hooked it up to itunes did the syncing and everything was fine. Then I ran the latest blackra1n jailbreak, followed the instructions, everything was fine. The only problem I have now is when I turn off the phone and turn it back on again it comes up with the 'connect to itunes' photo, I connect it to itunes and it tells me the phone is in recovery mode and I need to restore. The way I have been getting around this is to run the jailbreak again, then the phone boots up and everything is fine again. Is this a known bug? Is there any way around it?

Now arent you guys glad I made that thread regarding the 1st Gen iPhone / Blackberry / Windows Mobile Data Value Pack? It was only offered unofficially for 1 month.

You should run the OEM firmware for a week and see how it is, and make sure the bug isnt there ... if any problems, bring it to the applestore

Motoroal Milestone coming to Telus - Exclusive

You heard the rumors now it's official: Telus is getting the Motorola Milestone. The Android device is the same 2.0 QWERTY slider already announced for Europe and set to run exclusively on Telus' new 3G+ network in Canada sometime in early 2010. Unfortunately, that means no Google Navigation unlike those pesky North American neighbors to the south. Hmm, in that case maybe you should just wait the beefier Motus expected in Q1 -- just sayin'.

Haha yeah maybe I should have, but I was just too excited. The first thing I did after I got home from the store was jailbreak it. I did some further reading and I found out this is a known bug for iPhones manufactured after a certain date. I guess it's Apples way of curtailing jailbreaking. The solution I found was to downgrade your bootloader, but I don't want to mess with that. For now I guess I just have to be around a computer when I reboot the thing.

Oh man, you got one of those new units w/ the new bootloader. Kinda shifty you have to be near your comp to reboot, I normally a bit extreme with rebooting my phones, regardless what it is. Those 3rd party apps don't flush the unit's memory at all.

Try this, if your unit feels slow, go into your "phone" and exit. The phone function flushes the memory pretty good.

Big ups on your homework dude, good to see ppl solving their problems by themself ... Instead of asking others.

Next time, it's better to post up on the iPhone thread ... You'll get a faster reply.

Yeah sorry, I saw that thread right after I posted in this one. I got this system information app which has a clear memory function, that seems to work alright for now. I'm sure they will come up with something soon that will let me reboot my phone without it being tethered to itunes.
