only checked this out now and i like it!

bassline is huge, not sure about the vocals though, might work a lot better played out somewhere rather than sitting at my computer listening to this with my headphones.

I hear the original today after watching eps 2, season 8 of Crime Scene Investigation and vaguely remember that I've hear this melody somewhere before. Great history.
