I just moved to SJ too. It's been pretty nice. Takes about 50 minutes to get up to SF in the evening. SJ nightlife is severely lacking though so the trip is vital. Ferry Corsten is here June 23rd, so you should have plenty of time to get settled in and get ready for that!

Memorial Day Party @ Club 1015

I know many of you will probably be at Tiesto this Saturday but if you are looking for a good trance party and don't want to spend a fortune to get in then you should head over to 1015, I am opening the main floor at 11pm and it's Trance music all night!

I can put people on my guestlist for FREE admission before 11pm, also good for half price before midnight.

I play Trance, good trance, not cheesy stuff, and not a lot of vocals... You can listen to mixes on my website to get an idea but if you haven't heard me play in the club then you really should come out!

Hey its awesome to hear that you are working at the clubs especially 1015 but i was wondering what did it take for you to get hired at the clubs.

For me it took teaming up with a promoter that was throwing parties around san francisco, we ended up going separate ways since I play trance and he wanted me to play other stuff but at least it got my foot in the door. Once you're playing out regularly you meet people in the industry and can use that to DJ more places.

No matter what level of DJ you are, being a DJ is all about promotion, you can play the best music but if no one shows up to your party then you're done, end of story.

just dropping by to say that i'll be moving to San Francisco in a few weeks (just in time for lovefest, or particularly the lovelee party).

I'll only be out there for three months, but I'm looking forward to having some good nights out and, who knows, maybe running into some TA's along the way.

bookmark mighty119.com, mezzaninesf.com and satellitesf.com. nitevibe.com also has a weekly guide to various parties in the city. 2nd sunday @ kelly's mission rock, the spundae pool parties @ bambuddha lounge and the end up also have great beats and people regularly. show up to enough of these events, mingle and pick up flyers and you'll get plugged into the local electro/minimal/prog/house scene real quick.

Yeah, I moved up for Grad School.

I mostly lurk here for events and such. gone to a few events the past few years but now that I know public transportation a bit better now (from san jose/campbell to sf), I don't have to rely on my friend who usually only goes for armin, sometimes pvd and even then leaves right after missing other great djs such as taj. so I'm going to try and show up for most events listed by dave and hope to meet new people while doing so
