i'm getting charged 165 for the extra (ER15) filter is that correcto?

or am I being savagely ripped!?

Posted by NiNo LoCo on Apr-13-2005 08:33:

well I got very lucky, I got mine around 180 then I asked how much for the filters then she said around 150. Then i decided to just have the 25s, but they didnt really fit in my ear kinda thing (loud music was still comming in) so i got them re-moulded (free of charge) got them back and they put 15s on them lol for free! So now i have both filter head thingys for the price of one

but mine are $30 yeah.... maybe cause mine arent Epytomic or whatever the top end ones are.. i remember you found out the different ranges Anf?

the plugs are the best investment EVA!

see she also has troubles with mixing while they're in.

I do to some systems i can mix on, but they need to be a really clear booth, otherwise i find it very hard to hear the mixes and end up taking them out

I have to keep trying tho.

Will try mixing with them in this weekend, see how we go.

Posted by eRRaTiK on Apr-17-2005 07:54:

well that's a good sign. the idea of the earplugs is to filter out noise, so if you can't hear your mixing properly then you know it's working (or you've gone deaf)

Posted by muli on Apr-17-2005 08:06:

lol

nah, i just find it hard to beatmatch with them in, for normal listening they're great. But when mixing you need to pick up on some of those frequencies it cuts out, therefore making it harder.

I just have to re-train myself basically. BUT it's hard at home cause i can't crank the system loud enough to combat the ear plugs.

I have the ER-25s tho, so thats probably why, the 15s would probably be better for mixing.

BUt im not gonna shell out some money until someone here tells me the 15s are good to mix with??

protect your hearing!

lost one of my ER25's whilst in Singapore last week so I just placed an online order for the ER20's. Hopefully I get them before the weekend.

Posted by tathi on Oct-09-2006 00:57:

i lost one of my ER-25s at Park Life last year, chucked the other one out a week later, went to Paxtan Barrand in the city for a new pair of ER-25s and found out that if i had kept one of them they could have molded the other one and i would have saved $80!

i could never use ER-20s after ER-25s :P

Posted by chubbs on Oct-09-2006 01:25:

I ordered a pair of ER20's from headphones.com.au on Saturday actually. Was getting bad tinnitus after every gig, so best to prevent that as early as possible.

Posted by tathi on Oct-09-2006 01:41:

i might add that i also lost my $180 arnette sunglasses at paark life, what annoys me was that i wasn't even that messy

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Oct-09-2006 01:48:

people that buy $180 sunglasses deserve to lose them

Posted by tathi on Oct-09-2006 02:03:

true, i just bought these $6 sunnies that said NIKE on them from this asian grocery and they broke the first time i used them

i could have bought a kebab with that money

cant trust asians tathi!! they're going to enslave our country with their naturally better-looking daughters.

Posted by jc on Oct-09-2006 02:12:

i lost one of my custom made ones at steve porter earlier this year (bummer!)

i now use the orange foam ones given out on aeroplanes, they work just as well!

Posted by NiNo LoCo on Oct-09-2006 02:41:

Well i got the 15's and the 25's
The 15's are my favourite.

Yeh they can just remold them Jake, thats what i did, and suprisingly they gave me free 15s filter thingys when i enquiried about them hehe so i saved a fair bit.

Posted by steve_may on Oct-09-2006 10:16:

i got some of the hearos ones http://www.hearos.com/products-00211.htm from allans music in the city, they share the same diagrams etc on the back cover as the er-20's so im guessing they probably share the same design

they are comfertable, reduce the volume and my ears didnt ring after GK over the weekend. since i have lost a bit of my hearing already i wanna try and keep the rest of it

Posted by Thrillz on Oct-10-2006 17:32:

I have a pair of er-20's which I used for the first time(always forget them) @ GK, it was great not having ringing ears afterwards will use again!

Posted by echosystm on Oct-11-2006 00:42:

ive NEVER had ringing in my ears :S

maybe i'm already fucked?

Posted by Philby on Oct-11-2006 02:47:
