I had an amazing time on Saturday... the first time in a long while where the night exceeded my expectations..

G&D = Amazing... the set was more trancier than I was used to hearing from them - but then again, the best producers are those that can combine the best elements across genres seamlessly. Keep up the good work guys..

IM = Their BEST set here in TO... the last two times were pretty good but this one totally blew me away.. I think I enjoyed it even more looking around and seeing that I wasn't the only one loving it - perhaps because this time they were in the Kool Haus?

Rank1 = I enjoyed hearing some of the old trancers but IMO his set didn't have any real flow - it seemed to just be a mish-mash of tracks and I couldn't see where it was going.. the crowd seemed to get kind of lost midway into the set (or earlier).. it didn't help that the sound in there was not up to par either (ear ringing = ugh)

I didn't get to see Anne Savage but from the ppl I spoke with she dropped some nice tracks..

Shoutouts to all the regulars and the new ppl I met & thanks to Liam/Jeff for the meetup work.

holey shit Dave Dresden posts here !

awsome night... Gabriel and Dresden were so amazing, I brought a buddy with me who I NEVER EVER saw dancing and they got him moving no problem ! ... Was that the new Motorcycle Track.. Deep Breath Love ?..if so I dunno what to say it was a perfect set. Infected Mushroom was awsome, I've never really listened to them before or that kind of music in general but it was very enjoyable !

As for Rank1 I left at around 5am so I didn't catch thier entire set and can't give a fair review

Gabriel and Dresden - please come back soon !

Two dayz later and still in rehab w/ the earz buzzing... but finally that's gone - but still it's Tuesday morning @ 1am!

The meet up a Scotland Yard was good, chill but good, i never did say high to the DJ's there, silly me, but Nat told me that she pulled a good enough Dallas to make my spirit there when I wasn't yet! (I didn't drink!) aren't y'all surprised!

Then we headed to the club, thanks for lettin us into the line guys, Came in found everyone - but you know i wanted to boogie, but i was SUPER exhausted from all the previous night's Dancin! Dekoze was there spinning too @ System ( I met a boy - it was a one day silly dillo! in which nothin happened Thank god!) So the muzik was amazing at Ultra Spin4 I was listening to De-KoZe then went into the Guv and listened to Anne Savage and Mark Oliver, then headed back ASAP to see Infected mushroom, that was a really amazing set eh! there were tonnes of supporters with there israel flags... - I got tired though and I wasn't in a super frame of mind(if you know what I mean ^ ^
**) and i will be taking a break for a little while... I am sure you will see me, but i am takin a break from the additives that go on with party'e'ing

So I am going to lay low for a while... gather myself and what not!

We did have a groovy after party as well - with people all over the States...shout out's to y'all Detroit, Chicago, California and Indiana --> Mr. Cherrio... I was a little grumpy - sorry about that, but all this weekend was a one day thang...

Great music and Great company... apart from all the bad,

G'nite

this party was one TechnoAddict away from being the GREATEST party of all time..

What a night. The whole group of us from detroit had a blast all night. The meetup with gabriel and dresden was a nice surprise (thanks lkd) and having them play some tracks for us was great as well. every trip to toronto seems to get better every time and i always meet new tas. nice to party with lkd, tuss, tatgirl, swamper, time2burn, and diesel-0 who i met for the first time. Thanks tatgirl for letting us hang out at your place after the show.

some highlights were..
rank 1:
Rank 1 pres. Mac J - Perfect blend
midway - amazon
katana - tribal shock
mike robbins - are you a freak?
rank 1 - awakening, symsonic, airwave, cosmomatic, sensation anthem 2003, breathing, black snow, passage to the unknown, down from the deep.. also their remixes of push - journey of life and cygnus x - superstring..
perpetual motion - we're all here together (andy manston dub) was the last track and was a perfect end
i could list soo many more...

g&d:
DK - murder was the bass vs on a high
joshua ryan - pistolwhip (holden remix)
nalin and kane - beachball (g&d) (by request)
firewall - sincere
nathan fake - outhouse

hearing three remixes of beautiful things with the last being josh gabriel's tech remix where he came out from behind the decks just to shake my hand then headed back up. he had no clue it was my favorite track of the year.

Might be some mistakes in the tracks, but I havent had a chance to remember everything yet. I've IDed plenty more tracks so if anyone wants to work on a tracklist for gabriel and dresden and rank 1, it shouldnt be too hard. I couldnt id anything from infected mushroom, it was just wicked. Even with a little shady mixing, this must have been one of the best parties ive ever been to. amazing night, I cant really say much else.

overall 10/10
g&d 9.5/10
infected 10/10
rank 1 9/10

Hey Allan if you mean "Cave - Street Carnival (Max Wilder Remix)" it was goooooooooooood hearing it live as well. Along with Katana - Tribal Shock. <------------- I went hardcore NONSTOP dancing with that one...made me insanely tired afterwards...

lol.. its already Tuesday so I'm not gonna bother writing a lengthy review. Wikkid pre-meet(thanks Liam and Jeff)!! Glad I was able to meet G&D and hang out with TAs. I loved every minute of US4. G&D, Anne Savage, I.M, Rank 1 and M.O made this one incredible night. But I must say I.M has left me at a loss for words. Their set was phenomenal. As many have mentioned already my one and only complaint is that the bass was too much in KH and sounded distorted at times. My poor ears were ringing all day since I lost my earplugs even before getting into KH.

Shoutouts to every TA I met, new & old. Glad to see everyone giving the dance floor a good pounding. Ended this awesome night with a visit to comfort zone(my first time). Loved it!! Will be going back for sure. Special thanks to Mike, Jenna, RJ & Fuad for accompanying Loconet & I. I hope to see many of you at the TA 4yr anniversary party on Saturday(24th).

ps. thanks for the glow-sticks Faud.
pps. thanks for guestlist John!

Well shit Emery -- next time I guess we'll have to do it right and get officially introduced (I can't remember if we met one time at System; possibly TAInvasion5 through Erika)

Its Tuesday the party is over and I have to go back to work. My only regret is that these type of parties end. So much to do so little time.

It was a damn fun night. Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden were awesome guys to meet. And then to watch them absolutely rock it was just too perfect. Hightlights of their set for me were Dave dropping all the expected songs first. Beautiful Things, ATRC and Motorcycle's new unreleased track Deep Breathe Love. Josh suprised us all by dropping it hard... That remix of On a High with Murder was the Bass was like .

IM totally stole the show though. Didn't really know any of the tracks but the set was soooo hard sooo dirty. Simply put: Insane! Loved em and can't wait for their return.

Rank 1 ended it up on a nice trancy tip. And from the bits and pieces I saw of Anne Savage (rock your body!!) it seems that the whole complex was rocking all night.

Soo many people there that night. Absolute insanity walking through the crowd running into TAs and Friends EVERYWHERE. Vibe was great.

Fun night...

G&D were good, but i wasnt really into their set too much...

Infected Mushroom were awesome, i really liked their performance....

Rank1 was pretty good too, some good hard tunes: shrill city, timeless...

it was a great party, some really nice tunes, great seeing ppl again...

but...why no play imagination?? or did i just miss that somehow? thats like the only song i wanted to hear (and deep breathe love which they played)...but ya...IMAGINATION!!!

Posted by Euphoric on Jan-20-2004 18:26:

what a night

Holy $hit, what a night!!! G and D dropped all the goodies( Beautiful things, ON A High, FALLEN!!! and others of course) They were amazing. Blew me away. Cant wait to see them again. How bout Infected Mushroom, that was a total surprise. That was some crazy hard hard hard bangin stuff. I really liked them. And Rank 1, dropped a ton of good tracks as well exp: Airwaves, Breathing and Awakining). All 3 sets were outstanding. I had a great night. It was super nice to see our friends from the area again, and nice to meet up with new ones as well. WOW!!

Posted by MarkT on Jan-20-2004 19:23:

i've already posted a review, but I've taken immense pleasure this week in telling everyone who bailed at the last minute (some dismissing the lineup as uninteresting) that it was *easily* the best party I've been to in KH (or anywhere else) since PVD, and probably even better than that one. I thought I'd have a good dozen people coming along...turned out to be ONE...but damn did we enjoy ourselves

as some people have also commented, KH itself was better than ever for a big event too:
- decent setup with lighting, although sound was too loud (great for the music, not so great for my ears and for trying to talk to people).
- guestlist and coat check lineups moved quite fast
- no washroom lineups all night long (nothing sucks worse than being in a washroom line only to hear your fave track come on)
- security was almost invisible (except when the thugs were booted) and generally friendly (friendlier than usual, anyway)
- very short waits at the bar
- and, most importantly, plenty of room to dance and move around!

Add to that the *INCREDIBLE* sets by everyone and WTF more could anyone ask for??? Anyone that missed this (without good reason)...you f**ked up LARGE (sorry TECHno addict and digitalMP, lol)

Dave- Please don't take offence to that comment- it's just one of those songs that just got so played out, even if it's a good song. I am even guilty of singing and dancing along to it that night, but the initial reaction with me is still "oh no, not this song again....!" Aside from that one, I loved every song u guys played.

I think my 1st distaste with this song was when Marco V was here in the fall, and he dropped it during his set, just cuz it's a crowd pleaser, though not his style at all.

I felt the same way about dave playing murder was the bass. It's the techno tune of the year, but when placed between 2 vocal trance tracks, its a bit obvious its played for the sake of the song, and not the flow or style of the set. Don't get me wrong, I loved hearing it, but it just didn't sit right to start the night....

DAVE you did a awesome job regardles as i mentioned it was a overplayed tune in toronto for some reason.

COME BACK G&D!!!!!!!!!!!!
