Well, First listened in the AVB's ASOT 150
definitely a beautiful track ever ...

IMO a major candidate for Tune of the Year. Not much else comes anywhere close to the energy and epic feel of this one.

Posted by itsTrueSonic on Oct-15-2004 17:40:

yes i agree.
a big energy track
i can't say record of the year, because it doesn't really blow my mind (although it is an energy track. hahhaa)

So what do u think? melodic?(epic)
Well I'm not sure TBH but you might be right

Posted by TOR on Oct-15-2004 19:00:

melodic = uplifting = epic

all these stupid names refer to one and the same thing

Uplifting = not the same as melodic!

Posted by TOR on Oct-15-2004 19:27:

what's the difference?

Very obvious, look it up in a dictionary

Posted by TOR on Oct-15-2004 19:49:

"uplifting" is a very subjective term, hence not suitable to define a certain genre. a track can be uplifting to some ppl, while others may find the melody sad.

but that aside, people constantly use those three terms i mentioned to refer to one thing: a track defined by a main melodic sequence. people always use one of those terms, but they all mean the same thing.

and i'm not talking about the explanation in the dictionary here, but the way those terms are used on the forums.

And then there's still that difference: Melodical Trance isn't JUST uplifting. Melodical trance turns into uplifting when you get certain feelings when you listen to them. The feeling of joy or relief makes it Uplifting, and not JUST Melodical Trance.

Posted by TOR on Oct-15-2004 20:06:

as i said, technically there is a difference, but people use those three terms to refer to the same thing, as if there was no difference at all.

Posted by m0sh on Oct-16-2004 00:50:

There's a difference between epic aka melodic trance and uplifting...
Let's not get into it...

Can hardly imagine that, will have a listen...

Posted by Psygnosis on Oct-16-2004 09:49:

Actually the last little breakdown leading to the final part of the song, the vocals are saying "The...... White Room.. Room, Room"

That's just scarry, now I don't wanna listen to it any more!

Posted by Jarjar on Oct-16-2004 10:47:

Bah... Anyone got a sample? I can't find any breakdown that isn't the regular "you... you" sample.

Posted by websley on Oct-16-2004 10:52:

^^ Agreed, sample someone! - I didn't hear it probably because I only have it on a compilation.

That would be off-topic, and I don't have the guts to make another endless melodic/uplifitng discussion-thread.

Doesn't even sound close to that. The lyrics that were sampled for that part say "Love...I...you...you" They are from different parts from Remember, which is why it doesn't sound like a continuous lyric or anything.

Posted by goonerjack on Oct-18-2004 23:25:

i really don't see the hype about this... obviously i'm missing something

Posted by Jocker on Oct-19-2004 15:49:

it's a great tune!!! too bad it's been SO heavily overplayed, that most of the people are sick of it

Posted by Ben_Lei on Oct-19-2004 17:23:

I've heard this tune so many times. And i stil love it!!!

Goosebumps all over my hot body
