hahaha...this thread is GREAT! :P

Diginut...I agree with much of what you say. Ad Hominem fallacies are plentiful on the net. You just get used to debating people who don't have the ability to logically argue their positions

You know whats funny? Ive been to events in many other parts of the world far more crowded than anyone here can ever imagine and you never see whole threads dedicated to crying about too many people and fire marshalls etc.

People even do worldwide reviews on other parts of this message board.

Toronto is full of nothing but moaners, whiners and complainers...

Sorry but it is...

You want to see overcrowding? Try Pacha in Buenos Aires, or any creamfields event in Europe or even some of the pubs i went to in Europe....

you'll see real over crowding then

I think perhaps you are thinking of events with much greater attendance, but also held in much larger spaces. We aren't simply talking about the sheer number of people but also the size of the space they're crammed into; that's obviously the reason why the fire code specifies a legal capacity that depends on the shape and size of the building itself.

No im talking about being crammed in so tight that u cant even move your body and the crowd dancing is what is making you dance. Im not exaggerating either. ive never seen so many people as when i go to other countries. This has been my experience in several locales the last one being at pacha in buenos aires.

You really have no idea how it gets...

Perhaps you're right, but it's hard to comment since I'm not very well-educated on the fire code in Buenos Aires or how it's enforced. Care to enlighten me? URL perhaps? Or maybe you should just admit we're comparing apples and oranges here.

Posted by Jayx1 on Mar-23-2004 04:02:

how is that comparing apples and oranges? Im saying people in Toronto complain much more about much less than what goes in in other parts of the world and yet you never see threads like this except here.

I mentioned nothing about fire codes in that statement.

Are you really this stupid or are you just messing with us? You're right, you mentioned NOTHING about fire codes in that statement, and THAT IS THE BLOODY POINT! We're complaining about the overcrowding because it's ILLEGAL here - it's obviously just as dangerous in Buenos Aires but if there isn't a strict regulation there then it won't make one bit of a difference.

You can't compare these things. And even if you could, your logic is still totally fallacious. Just because it's worse somewhere else does not mean we should put up with it being shitty here.

I was at Ferry... it was ridiculously packed in the main room, but what I didn't care - I spent the night up at the Drink, where it was comfortably spacious, and from what I've heard the KoolHaus wasn't packed either. So if you really don't like all the overcrowding, just go somewhere else, there are like million other rooms in that complex...
