Hello!

This looks cool

Posted by Furor Aquila on Apr-22-2004 19:55:

This is from Tiesto's site:

Hi everybody,

Well since Tisto's new album promo is all over the internet, which we regret very, very much, the waiting for the new album is really coming to an apotheosis. As we told the members of our forum in our newsletter, the album will be released officialy on the 18th of may in the Netherlands and all other country's will soon follow. Ofcourse you will be able to order it online in our Tisto Online Merchandise Shop.

Regards,
BHC

Why the hell do they release promos? Why not just 1 or 2 songs?

Posted by sandstorm03 on Apr-22-2004 19:57:

it will be on mp3 sooner or later, why does it matter?

Posted by Radagast on Apr-22-2004 19:58:

It's noones fault but theirs. Don't want it leaked, don't release promos. Not hard to understand.

Tiesto & Josh Gabriel feat. Kirsty Hawkshaw - Walking On Clouds

am I correct?

Posted by d-jay MyTH on Apr-23-2004 12:14:

yep that's the one

A Tear In The Open is begging for a hard and techy remix. What potential there.

it already is...

forever today reminds me of scooter's "age of love"

Posted by whiskers on Apr-25-2004 03:29:

in case anyone cares,

01. Forever Today : typical tiesto sound, not too hard, kinda epic-y sounding

02. Love Comes Again : a bit harder... vocals are sorta sketchy....

03. Traffic : you all know this tech tune, either you love it or you hate it

04. Sweet Misery : hmmm, much slower than the rest, trip-hoppy? still has that tech-electro sound... vocals might be slightly overwhelming

05. Nyana : good stuff, definitely one of the best on the CD

06. Ur : starts ambient... turns trip-hop... pretty emotional, very good

07. Walking On Clouds : veeeeeeeeeeery good, kirsty's vocals are as good as always and you can definitely hear josh gabriel's influence

08. A Tear In The Open : starts out dark and keeps it that way. slightly depressing, but good. i like.

09. Just Be : synthy and techy, once again, could do without the vocals, though they're ok and even touching at times. i like this one too

10. Adagio for Strings :

i don't know if i'll be buying this... but i'd say that i'd pick Rob Dougan's Furious Angels over Just Be any day

Posted by StalkerElmo on Apr-25-2004 04:09:

ehh.. does anyone else agree with me that Nyana is has the best melody ever?..

The fact that Tiesto has become a money hungry, lazy mixing/producing, big ego drived, but time to time amazing performing douche...has nothing to do with my following opinion.

COMPLETE PEICE OF SH!T

Once again another creative and innovative producer/artist who was once a pioneer has ditched his loyal fans to collect some fast money. Entire album is full of amatuer productions to catch the average clubbers attention.

Oakey did it, BT did it, PvD did it, Ferry did it, now Tiesto. Sure, they're creating a "new sound" and being "original", but FFS.

WHAT ABOUT US LOYAL FANS WHO LIVE FOR YOUR MATERIAL?! ALL WE WANT IS TO HEAR THE AMAZING PRODUCTIONS YOU ONCE CREATED THAT GAVE US THIS UNBELIEVEABLE VIBE. REPEATING THE TRACK FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS TO ONLY FIND SOMETHING ELSE IN THE TUNE TO RENEW THE LOVE AND ENJOY IT SO MUCH MORE.

I must be fair though, here's some pros.

-It has variety, from tech trance/progressive/epic/mainstream?
-Tiesto finally released Nyana and Adagio For Strings
-Album was made to grab the attention of a broader audience, hopefully converting them to EDM

Other then that, I'm so disappointed in Tiesto. I thought this album would make me take back all the negative comments I ever said about him, but it's made me hate him 10x more.

My hopes on the Epic Trance scene are nearly dead...what's happening?

A tear in the Open is my favourite song on this album. Dark, yet beautifuly composed. This is truly a wonderful piece of work!

Agreed, nice to get a full version of Adagio for Strings, I still haven't got bored of traffic which is class, apart from that nothing worth a second listen. Dissappointing but not really suprising.

if posting low quality samples isn't illegal then why doesnt this guy give the people that havent heard it a taste?
