this is football. not politics.i can remember a few years ago when people in football thought it was a good idea to have a friendly game between ireland and england at landsdowne road in dublin.nothin at stake,just a clean battle on the pitch.anyways ireland went 1-0 ahead in the 37th minute,next thing england fans start pulling out seats and start throwin them on irish fans below with no respect for women or children.To make things worse they produce an england flag with nazi symbols and make hitler gestures to the crowd.is this there idea of a good time.I was there it destroyed my night and showed them up for why they were really there.Ithink its about time that fifa stood by there decision to send the team home when these yobs come and disrupt the party. when local people all over the world find out that england is comin to there city for a football game it means only one thing,TROUBLE and as for my people killin and bombin british civilians i would be more than happy to meet up with you anytime to hear your views.

Of course, there was trouble with Portuguese and German fans, but nobody says anything about that. Do you people even know how to play the game or are you just jumping on the football bandwagon when it rolls around every two years?

the stage is now set for croatia.they have nothin to loose while england and there egos are fucked.the thing that is wrong with england is that its a battle of egos in the sqaud were every man thinks they are better than the team .You have to hand it to rooney though he did shine but the swiss defence was terrible if they had of been playin against a better opppisition they would of been punished more severley.

^^^ anybody who follows England should know that they rise to the level of their opposition. Switzerland is crap and in the 30 degree heat, it was hard for them to adjust. What are you on about the egos? I'd say Beckham and Erikkson have rallied the boys well since sunday. What you're talking about better applies to the Dutch team.

what are you talking about? There have been minor scuffles..about 30 English fans were deported. The Portuguese officials have labelled all the instances as minor, and some of them included PORTUGUESE, DUTCH AND GERMAN FANS! The few England fans that are stupid and drunk enough to start trouble deserve to leave, but the vast majority are just normal, passionate football fans who support their team. As I said earlier, there were reports of English-French fans celebrating and mingling together on Sunday.

i agree we were in the the same qualifying group as holland and portugal for japan 2002 and we beat them 1-0 in dublin to send us to the finals but just look at all the shit that happened in england before these finals.....sven was linked with a big move to chelsea and was even photographed leavin the house of the chelsea chairman were he had talks on quite a few occassions.He might of signed a contract to keep with england to the next world cup but its preety obvios were his heart lays

You and I both know that the only thing people in England care about is football. They could care less about rugby, and even less about cricket.

Regarding English football fans. Why is it that they weren't allowed into Turkey for the Euro qualifier? Those that tried to sneak in were arrested on site and deported back to England. Its cause English football fans are notorious for causing trouble at matches. Many of them get disgustingly drunk at the game, and then cause shit when their team doesn't do so well. Were there not small riots in London after England just lost to France?
