all i can say is we may have been robbed of a goal in the 89th minute, but to be fair, Portugal were all over us.
When it came to penalty's, a player of beckham's class and skill should really get the ball on fucking target at the very least! I don't blame Vassell in the slightest for missing his penalty.
Beckham shot the english confidence to pieces with his pentalty and it was the shitest of the shite.
oh well look out world, our young players have shined quite a bit, with the likes of Lampard, Rooney and the like.
think of what they will be like with more experience under their belts.

Portugal deserved to win though, they were the better team overall.
Oh well, we dutchies will kick Portugal out of the tournament in the semi's (after we beat Sweden, that is)

i think that Rooney's injurie also sould be an alternate
what a breathtaking game. 2 goals in extra time. my word.
how good was rui costa's goal. an absolute belter.
Rooney's injury was the turning point for me. i think had he played,
England would have played with a lot more confidence and finished the game off in normal time.
I think had they won this game they would have made it to the final.
Another fine game in an amazing tournament.
