that you post very long, complicated posts that sort of stray off topic to tire and confuse the reader so you win? just my intuition.

burberry - yea or nay?

look, even that damn cat has it

Posted by Slylee on Aug-10-2004 20:34:

lol is that your cat?

Posted by Orbax on Aug-10-2004 20:36:

well, I thought I had made some pretty good points concerning:

Societal polarization in America due to making your sexual preference your identity and how its divisive

maternity/paternity not being replacable

that I understood that they arent trying to ruin tradition, they are just fighting for acceptance. There is a middle ground.

That I dont hate homosexuals (again identity) that I think the act of homosexuality is repugnant and a minus factor to society.

That there is a "human condition" and a "human instinct" regarding moral issues that has been a pretty good red-flagger of moral events and that there seems to be a majority of people with such feelings that find the act repugnant. Although the terms Human-anything is hard to define, it is there none the less and you know what im talking about.

I think people were just trying to not-read as much as they could, yet find stuff to attack at the same time.

i think the fad that will never change is :

when some "hip" person browses through his/her mum's/dad's old videos and pictures and sees something they like and then wears the exact same style... then the grovel kissers start following and becoming copycats.. sooner or later, everyone starts doing it, which would look like a time machine, because today's time looks like the 80s with the new "fashion" .. then another "hip" person gets bored with wearing the clothes, and wears something else, and the grovel kissers start following him/her and the old fad that came back to become a new fad dies...

then the current new fad dies, because people get interested again with the old fad, while the current fad becomes a semi-fad, because people don't want to change .. then the old fad and the semi-fad blends together to make a new half-midway fad, blended with an old and new fad .. then nothing seems new anymore, too blase, because we seem like living through groundhog's day .. the same day over and over again ...

then the new fad dies and the old fad becomes a semi-fad, while the semi-fad becomes a hot new topic, and the new half-midway fad gets spilt in half by the old and semi-fads over contractual styling issues, turning it into a whole mess....

this is what bandwagoning is all about.....

the story of bandwagoning

that would be something Id call the "Human Condition"

Good end . Personally though, for me as someone who believes in real science, I dont believe that a lack of evidence proves the exsistance of God or the ressurection of Christ (examples of christianity-->there are so many more religions that could be examined likewise), so for me Christianity is really just about morals, and the bible is just a book for morals. I personally do not see the need to believe in the bible to be an honest, hard working, full of love type of guy when I go out and meet people.

I believe the church has a bad and very shady record in its history, which has given me more than enough reason to leave it behind, I was born and raised Catholic.

PS sorry for late response, working all morning and night, and had to catch some sleep last night, good arguments tho Orbax.

I have no idea what all went on in this thread because there is too much to read. I saw some drama here and there and I hope it's been cleared up. Orbax, Jason, Shadow, Angela, Slylee, and hell even Rodrico (hehe) are some of my favorite TA's. You guys aren't bickering are you?

That's what I saw. I could tell Jason and Daniel were just having a heated discussion, but you and Orbax seemed to be having a little spat. I'm glad you are over it.

Princess week?

we need something to keep us busy today damn it! ok ok...

abortion...

i think that women have the right to choose, but should only be used it situations of extreme circumstance like if you are raped and impregnated or something like that. you shouldn't have to live with a reminder of a horrible event like that because it wasn't your fault.

discuss

Oh my god I cant believe you did this.

Alright, Ill play. Rapes that end in pregnancy are few and far between. So so rare. In fact, its said that the reason why is because it IS forced. Thats another subject though, more scientific. Back to the original, why cant the woman give birth and then work with an adoption agency? I cant imagine having to carry a child for 9 months after something like that but I just want your opinion...

[By the way, abortion and gay rights are the two issues I feel strongest about, haha. Good work.]
