allright so far so good for Miami,If we get anythin it might only be around 40mph,and lookin even better right now here in homestead where Im in my parents house at the moment.But you never know about these hurricanes it might go West Northwest in a heartbeat,but yea just heard the hurricane to a little jog to the north.Im not worried but Im not gonna act like an asshole,I do respect how strong this hurricane is around the eye.Good luck to you guys up north.
For you first timers just keep cool, dont freak out and be smart dont do anything stupid .The pressure in this hurricane is pretty low and they dont expect to much change in the pressure(last checked) so your ears might not hurt as much as it did in Andrew where my ears hurt and popped like crazy.I survived Andrew here in Homestead in 1992 but I know alot of people died in my town so I respect any piece of shit hurricane that comes near me.Keep safe.

Good luck and be safe eveyone. Don't take any chances on safety, as this storm looks to pack a punch. Once it hits the gulf stream, it's gonna strengthen even more.

My family back in central florida is already making plans to evac if necessary...probably up to Gainesville, where my parents currently live.

Anyhow, I'll be keeping my eyes on the Weather channel from here in San Francisco making sure my family and friends back home are doing OK.
