So many choices....
Thanks guys - this is great - now I've actually got a list of stuff I should pick up - so many choices, so little cash
Ah well. Maybe I should actually come to Club Viva one of these nights and check that out too but I fear that being in my early 30s I would stick out like a sore thumb (who's that old lady in the back) lol. Thoughts? You can be honest....
trance shows are kinda wierd.
viva is a majority asian club, but you get people of all ages, races and 'cliques' attending...
it isnt unusual to see 45 yo asian men flailing there.
then theres angelo and friends,
nav
and a bunch of teh white people are old as well.
my point is.. everyone sticks out at viva... so everyone concentrates on the music and no one cares.
Hmmmmmm....
45 year old asian men flailing - now that does sound weird!
May not be my scene but then at least no one would notice me quietly sitting in the back with a bevy if they had that kind of entertainment! Thanks for the input Mr. Yak
!
Anyone 30s could show up and no problems. Now if you're a guy and lots older than that, some people don't want you there and make that very clear.
W T F ?????????

so i feel some subtle hostility here.... fact is, vancouver electronic scene has all kinds of people in it, whether some people like it or not. it doesnt matter how old you are and what origins you have, what social group you associate with and what language you can and cannot speak because you'll find all those people in the electronic scene in our beautiful little town. so unles you are planning on going to the plaza, skybar, or any other pretentious club, you really don't need to worry about being stared at
No offense intended...
Sorry - hope I didn't offend anyone. Sounds like a very eclectic scene which is great. I've gotten lots of great info here - this is a great website! Or maybe it's more a reflection on the types of people drawn here by the music.
