I played upstairs from 11:30 to 12:30... If you heard Steve Porter's remix of ZZ Top, Snoop Dogg - Drop It Like It's Hot Breaks Remix, or a variety of other top 40 remixes then you'll know who I was

I usually play more breaks/tech-house but couldn't resist being a Escape/Spin DJ for the night

the only top 40 track i remember hearing was when someone upstairs dropped 'yeah!'. i was watching kid icarus for most of that time, but i came upstairs at least 4-5 times during that set. were you the dude with dark hair and a kinda dressy shirt? or was that the dude after you??

not entirely true with what daniel stated.. yes there is a lot of happy hardcore, techno and dnb (what the promoter seems to like the most) but there were quite a few tents that were trance/prog primarily.. i know the cbx productions crew and a few from the mid-west feature a bit of prog/trance.

tough to catch all 300 some dj's

LOL.. Yup I finished with King Unique's remix of Mylo - In Your Arms and then decided what the hell let's throw on Usher & Lil John for shits and giggles.. Always been a closet top 40 fan/DJ

I was the dude with the dark hair and dressy shirt...

Phil Good @ Tabu March 25th

File Size = 73.3 MB
Length: 53:25 minutes

1) Momu vs. Missy - Really Hot [CD-R]
2) Marscruiser vs Andy Page - Elementalectrofunk [Barely There Records]
3) Infusion - Girls Can Be Cruel (Infusion sQ'ed mix) [Audiotherapy]
4) Golfclub - Spandex [Net's Work]
5) Rhythm Unlimited - All I Wanna Do [Silver Planet Recordings]
6) Snoop Dogg - Drop It Like It's Hot [White Label]

9) Shapeshifter Vs. Michael Jackson - Lola's Jean [White Label]
10)Mylo - In Your Arms (King Unique Mix) [IYA]

I took off the Usher track just because it wasn't mixed in... Plus to give the mix a better flow..

Just did a one take on the decks... One of my needles is overdue in getting its stylus replaced (you can tell on the level's)... Haven't done anything to the mix besides normalizing it so it'll be a little louder when you play it (none of this protools shit or anything like that)

There is one rough mix between tracks 3 and 4 (roughly four seconds).. Guess that's what I get for touching the bloody platter on a record that I should be mixing on cd-r (so it won't skip)...

Either way I guess this gives you a good idea of my live mixing skills and perhaps maybe I'll even land myself on a future TA live show (I do play progressive breaks that could be classified as trance; ie: Digital Witchcraft)...

- Phil

sounded sweet \o/

yep, i was definitely up there for part of your set. i very distinctly remember being there for elementalelectrofunk and girls can be cruel, and possibly the next few tunes too. i actually just got back from spinning with marscruiser, oddly enough. good times.

i'll know who to look for next time i guess.

he's been busy.. tabu nightclub got bought out so they had to find a new home for plush, it's now a one room show at the quest main room starting with donald glaude on the 15th...

if the numbers are strong, there's a good chance they'll be able to get both rooms in the future...

Posted by Petrogad on Apr-10-2005 17:24:

Hopefully we wont have to worry about the numbers to much...
