There's a book called 'Tattoo', about the history of tattoos. If you really want to educate yourself on the matter and find answers, I suggest you read it. People who comment on subjects they clearly know nothing about make themselves look like jackasses, eg. YOU.

Which proves my point exactly that you have no intention of actually learning about the subject. It's clear that you don't like or understand the purpose of tattoos/piercings, we get it. But don't come on here and try to tell people why you think they made a choice to get tattoos/piercings and how they're gonna feel about it later, when you have no fucking clue on the matter. People don't need to justify themselves to YOU, or anyone else for that matter. That's the whole point of making a PERSONAL CHOICE.

Hah, I'm not worried. I'm thankful for his stupidity. There's a lot to be learned from people like him. Besides, I rarely get involved in flame wars, so this is kind of fun for me, even though I have an obvious advantage: intelligence.

Look if I were to get a tattoo then it would at least be placed somewhere where I could at least see it such as my bicept. I can understand the art part of getting a tattoo and how it would be an outer reflection of the inner you and all of that but what I can't understand is why someone would get a tattoo where they themself nor others can see it? Why go through all that pain if you can't even look at your own tattoo and/or have others see it?

First of all...maybe it's not to be shown off...maybe it's something deep and personal and only to yourself.

Second of all...if you're working in a business environment for example you can't show off tattoos so if you want one you'd have to get in a less visible place

Third of all...maybe it's meant for someone special to see...ggrrrrr sexy!
