So why are there no revolutions happening to prog, or hard trance, or any of the other trance related genres? You can't blame the lack of innovation in trance on the use of big breakdowns and super-saws. If anything, I'd blame it on the massive rise in use of software to make music as opposed to hardware. |

Even Disney has him playing for them. i hear its something like 100 bucks a ticket? |
House Music is back imo !!!
The releases are gettin better and better. June 2004 was the begining of a rebirth.

Not to mention recent and upcoming albums from Daft Punk, the Chems, Moby, The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Faithless etc. etc. And you're assuming that all these venues are unsuccessful, despite them reporting big attendances and growing popularity. |

I've no idea what events Mylo has played since his live act has only been around for a few months, but he's played countless live gigs to date and I would be surprised if he didn't make it onto a few festival line-ups this year. |

Turning back to house, the genre has led to massive financial success for years now, and yet the scene is still changing, innovating and growing, particularly with the current emphasis on guitar and rock elements. By your line of reasoning, house should have stagnated because it's easy to make money from it (which is true). And yet trance continues to drop in popularity despite the "money making" epic trance formula. |

i keep hearing stories off badly mixed tracks being played 'till the end then moving the crossfader about tijs.
Trance is dead?
It was never really a living concious entity in the first place!!

trance is dead, go fuck yourselves. if you need some anal nitrate i can provide that 4 u...otherwise its not one single dj that ruined the scene...it was the whole changing of the "trance sound" and trying to progress it forward...only problem with that is it backfired major, with major jocks trying to experiment with new sounds..only those new sounds werent progressive, its called cheesey bollox. The evolution of the genre which they thought was desperately needed turned it into a commerical laughing stock, with Tijs being dropped out of helicopters to his gigs....and utter shitty albums meant to sell records toward mainstream noobs. THey pretty much sold out the fans and went after the money, mr. tijs exemplifies this better than any other artist out there, bruva manages to do a pepsi commercial, then rake in with his just be/olympic garbage. Same goes for Fairy C. ... bro tried to be a pop-rock star, only he forgot that hes not a rocker but a fucking dj and producer...someone didnt inform him in time and he created rock your body rock. the whole trio, of AvB, Fairy, and TIjs is the equivalent of the fucking Bush cabinet invading Iraq for oil....only these noobs went after the mainstream audience and cashed in off it. Its not hard to cash off idiot americans who just discovered dance music and think that Markus "i lisp" Schulz and AvB are the hottest and best thing that ever happened to music.
Schulz has the dumbest American accent I've ever heard.
Oh, btw; Trance is for plebs and n... oh, screw it.

Here ya got it fools... 7 pages of continuous annoying discussion over some stupid Ishkur-qoute
Ferry Rules, end of story!
Trance = Music. Just like every other genre.
Ferry Corsten did not kill it, nobody killed it, it's only a stupid opinion from some people who 'evolved'/'matured' into boring progressive beats, weird underground beats and other stuff that's so obscure no living soul would ever hear it except them and with that knowledge they think they're better and more intelligent than trancelisteners. That's how it is, and that's how it always will be.
Now stop bashing eachother and leave this stupid thread alone so that it can perish away and nobody would ever look at it so it can rest with the 104.233.222 other 'Trance is dead', 'Tiesto killed trance', 'Who killed trance' and 'RIP Trance'-threads.

To name a good trance track from recent years, I'm going to Say Ralphie B - Massive
To say ppl produce trance just to make money is pretty lame too, as anyone knows that to make money from trance is pretty difficult
Now as it stands, I dont really mind who likes what and such, I know what I like across various genres, and I know what kind of epic trance I like, what I DONT like however is when elitist losers whose sad lives force them to belittle other's tastes/views/opinions constantly spam forums with useless 'hahah, you like xyz so you suck' type posts.
Yes Ory, I am looking at you, feel whatever you want about epic trance, but you dont need to constantly post agressive posts like:

| You people are funny. Especially the defensive trance whores. Thanks. Dumbasses |
| quote: |
| That seems to be this forum's motto: Epic trance = All trance ever produced Hah. Morons. |
