It's okay to be a nice guy but you can't be spineless. You have to be assertive and agressive, however, you do not need to be an asshole. You can treat women well and still be "manly" (for lack of a better term)..... the two are not mutually exclusive.

^^^^ not really, it's all about proper manners and diplomacy. So long as you can articulate your position without causing offence and assert your will while still making the other party feel respected then you can be the dominate man most women want without being the dismissive and thoughtless asshole that they later complain about.
