The fact that you can't spell Auranaut proves that you're not a true trance lover, just a cracker. Oh, and get your head out of your ass and listen for once.

Thanks.

EDIT: Oh, and doesn't the fact that I don't like Tiesto imply that I'm not a n00b? Think about what you're saying.

Apparently having at least 3 alias on a web BB makes you cool.

Listen up, the original claim in this thread was that Tiesto uses mix CDs when performing live. I'll say it again here folx:

TIESTO DOESN'T NEED TO DO THAT.

If any kid can pick up the skill in half a year then I think Tiesto can manage with his almost decade of experience to pull it off.

That has nothing to do with the complexity of his mixing or weither he holds 2 min long transitions every time or weither he has made a few mistakes over the years. What I was trying to say in my previous post (that seemed to knock this thread off its tracks) was that Tiesto has too much experience and has contributed too much to the community to be the recipient of this unfounded muck-raking.

Your logic is completely flawed here auranaut. So he can't spell your precious auranaut in his post on TA! OH MY!

And to acheive non-n00b status all you have to say is you don't like Tiesto!? Sign me up now! lol

Contributed? Taken away from? Whatever. If you actually WANT all trance to be happy epic trance with lyrics about lost love, then yes, he has contributed. Or maybe twinkly McProg with "deep" basslines.

No. Ory. If it were Radagast he wouldn't like Sasha and would have brought up Bad Boy Bill by now.

Did I ever tell you about the time BBB scratched with his dick? Sasha should do that kind of stuff, instead of being a lazy ass with that Ableton shit.

And would've professed his love for Oliver Lieb.

Comparing popular EDM djs mixing skills is pretty trivial. I mean big names like tiesto and oakenfold realise that all they are doing is playing music, so why even bother trying to mix, just get from one track to another.

I'm confident a dj like tiesto could pull off mixes like sasha and digweed if they wanted to. Especially if they played the same sort of records as them. It is not hard. Mixing just isnt as important to his fans as it is to sashas fans, because sashas fans are people who like to think they are listening to a more intelligent, or superior type of music than oakenfold or whatever else you have. In the end its all the fucking same. Tiestos fans would rather see him stand on a table like a dumbass, and then only step down to throw on another record. Where as sashas fans want to see him acting like he is doing something complex and difficult, you know, to make him look more intelligent and superior to the other big djs. Again, its all the same shit.

Whilst I do agree mostly with this, some of us like good progression and smooth transitions even with pumping/epic trance.

That said, I admit I'd rather hear a bunch of good tracks mixed poorly than a bunch of poor tracks mixed brillianty.

some times the "poor tracks" are the really good ones

So seamless mixing of Heaven into Castles Made of Shite into Crazy Frog/Axel F bootleg into Bullet in the Gun is ok?

Where exactly did I mention his mixing skills? People like you piss me off coz you DONT READ POSTS PROPERLY. Where exactly was your point in that big rant? All you did was slag the trancers who listen to Tiesto and generally chat sh*t about how the techno overlords hate trance. Like I said before no one cares what they think.
Dont know anything about DJing do I? And what do u know about me asshole?

I can tell you for certain a good DJ is very different from a good mixer, coz a good mixer is usually too obsessed with good blends than playing the right track at the right moment.

first off the instrumental of bullet in the gun is badass, as is (i think its) the scott mac mix of heaven...

second of all, if there was badass mixing between Castles in the sky & heaven id take that over a trainwreck. When you are on the floor and hear double beats its over.

third thing I heard the firsty 30 minutes of ISOS 4, and Tiesto Can't program for shit anymore.

1. Ambient-ish mix of obvious track
2. Obvious track
3. Obvious track
4. Obvious track
5. New (shit) Tiesto production
6. New remix of Tiesto production
7. Obvious track
8. Most epic obvious track ever
9. Obvious track

That's the structure of his livesets and mix CDs. "Right track at the right moment", yeah right, wanker.

Posted by sandstorm03 on May-11-2005 13:59:

sady he can't program his sets as well as he used to...

I mean I can't even name the last amazing track that he played.

John Remedy - Ventricle / Catharsis maybe that release? Before that i dunno. Walking on clouds is good but other then that Id have to look back to nyana.
