I'm not joking.

Once again, you can have a gold star for effort if you like.

Raising to his bait merely gives him the ego boost needed to keep him from slitting his self-esteemless wrists...

Like clockwork

I swear this guy has some kind of obsession with me. It's eerie to say the least. Just watch as he spends 2/3 of his time here quoting everything I say.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Jul-11-2005 15:48:

Well we all know you're posting for my benefit anyway.

I love you too.

Tiesto feat. Nicolas Hitchock - In My Memory

That's enough reason right there to not accuse Tiesto of being "cheese". Even the elite of artists have to make some commercial and sometimes cheesier songs in order to succeed financially. Besides, this whole "cheese" business is getting way too overdone.

You chose a remake of a pop song to give a non-cheesy Tiesto track? Personally, I don't think Suburban Train and its ilk were cheesy, but this one does sound like something Japanese school-girls would dance to.

And Radagast, 'ole buddy 'ole pal, you know you have enough posts to make some vaguely amusing message appear beneath your name? Don't miss the opportunity.

It's just too bad that he hasn't been here the required 6 months.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Jul-11-2005 17:07:

Well who'd have thunk it...

I thought you just needed to have the big 500.

Binary Finary - 1999

Yawn. Your ignorance of the genre is rather shocking, to limit its scope to a two-year slice of European anthem trance. And none of those productions fit anywhere in the family of progressive genres, so I'm confused why you would cite that label as well.

Trance has over 13 years of history in multiple directions: German, acid, psychedelic, progressive, and on and on. Just because you think your minimal exposure to the genre is all there is, doesn't make it true. You don't have the room to speak.

And I already exempted Words, which falls outside consideration.

Omg. None of you know cheese. I ONLY listen to cheese, who gives a fuck, I know all of it is cheesy but I love it. I've been a fan of Belgian trance since I got into trance , which you all think is really cheesy, and it is to you,but I'll admit that all of these ARE cheese:

BELGIAN TRANCE CHEESE:
~ Sylver - Turn The Tide
~ Astroline - Close My Eyes
~ Milk Inc. - In My Eyes
~ Minimalistix - Close Cover
~ Dee Dee - Forever
~ Orion Too - Hope And Wait
~ Kira - I'll Be Your Angel
~ Jessy - Look @ Me Now
ETC.

AATW (All Around The World, the label) CHEESE:
~ Kelly Llorenna - Tell It To My Heart
~ Flip & Fill ft. Kelly Llorenna - True Love Never Dies
~ Rachel Macfarlane - Lover
~ Ultrabeat - Feelin Fine
~ N-Trance - I'm In Heaven
~ Miss Peppermint - Day By Day
ETC.

REALLY EPIC CHEESE:
~ 4 Strings - Day Time
~ Rank 1 - Airwave

AND `TYPICAL` CHEESE:
~ Fragma - Toca's Miracle
~ Fragma - Everytime You Need Me
~ Karaja - She Moves
~ Brooklyn Bounce - Loud & Proud
ETC.

Well technically Words and Gamemaster are progressive trance.

Gamemaster is anthem trance, even with epic overtones, not progressive. Words has progressive influences, but is closer to anthem.

Just because Ishkur says it doesn't make it so.

The original mix of "Gamemaster" was classified by many as Progressive Trance when it came out 8 years ago.

However, nowadays it does sound closer to "Epic", but I certainly wouldn't call it "anthem". That term I reserve for the "hands in the air" Dutch sound of the late 90's like System F - Out Of The Blue and practically anything by Ferry Corsten of that period.

If you live in my area, you know anything the radio station calls trance
is cheese. *cough* Z 103.5 *cough* F*cking retards on that station!
