Use the provided MIDI as a guideline for your remix, most of the times I do not use the MIDI when I remix a track because it takes away from me the creativity, but when I use it, I just do it as a guideline.

lol, ive started my remix, but i reckon im gonna scrap it all and start again, with something fresh. 18 days or what ever is enough, school is ending soon and im grounded so it'll definately be done.

its not just you...thats part of the reason why i dont like midi files... the other reason is becuase id rather try to figure out the notes myself...which really isnt that hard for anyone i wouldnt think... *listen and paste on sequencer*

and yeah the midi is a bit shit, some notes are outta place, especially on the main riff, easily fixed though

yupz idd, i don't like midi-files either..
If you're a producer, you should find the notes yourself and don't let midi-files help you.. I just don't think that's really producing..
It's like when you're dj'ing, and someone tells you what to spin..

this is just my opinion on midi-files

My God, sry to be a bit rude here, but if you read the whole original thread you'd know there are no limits of entries, you are in, and you have 12 days to submit.

i actually did read the entire thread before i posted, but i must have missed where it stated the max entry limit had been removed... call me crazy

I did notice where it said N/A in the first post and i counted over 30 names on the list so i had a feeling it might have been changed but i wanted to make sure ya know?

So i'm just happy to be able to participate.

But no one has submitted except two participants, which tells me that on the deadline date, I will have my mail box filled up with mail to check, and songs to back up and upload for judges.

That is for sure, I may recommend you guys, who submitted too early in the compo to check the remix again and see if you are glad with it, sometimes I do remixes in a few days, and then I end up not liking it, so make sure you are confortable with what you've submitted.

You can update as long as you do it before the deadline.

my remix is almost done now. have some few elements left to add. my remix will be a nice blend with trance and breaks, with some progressive influence. So it will be different from others remixes i think
