Actually my friend Sam did. I will ask him. I don't know if he got any of Steve however.

Im curious to know why we all blame the bouncers, yes, they are partly the problem, but they are merely the face that the patrons see. Im sure the club manager tells them on a regular basis dont let too many guys in, and if shes hot, let her in that makes (sadly) good business sense, as it will build the kind of reputation they want for this place.

One thing I think we all need to realise is that this place is owned by Charles Khabouth (sp?) (i think) the same guy who owns the guv. He doesnt want another guvernment, if he did hed buy another warehouse and put some lasers and a sound system in it. The people that really love the guvernemnt (a lot of us), arent exactly the clients TIL is looking for, it just happens we like the music at TIL too.

Hes had many forays into the whole fancy club thing before, the supper club or whatever, and the kind of things everyone is complaining about just goes with fancy club territory, and I dont think its going to change.

Ive been to TIL, had a good time, it was on the opening day, showed up late, waited for about half an hour, got in no problem (I'm 22 and went with my gf - we were dressed up). The smoke bothered me though, so If I dont go back, it will be because of that.

Anyway what it seems you all want is a place where you can go and listen to music and dance - IMO thats not what TIL wants, they want an exclusive fancy club where people spend LOTS of money. That dogma, and the one that we like (for the most part - guv, viva, boa, other dance clubs) dont fit.

my $0.02

+1

I'm not afraid of getting turned away. I just refuse to support a club that is in business for blatantly the wrong reasons. Clubbing is not about who you are and what you look like or how much money you willing to bribe the bouncers. It is about enjoying a safe, fun and friendly atmosphere with good friends and good tunes.

By the stories that I hear TIL is not concerned about its patrons enjoying themselves.

Yep. Catering to just who they want to do business with. (I don't think there's anything illegal with that)

Which is fine. It just means they're not getting any of my business.
