What, you think there are no comercials in other parts of the world besides US? You think these players playing soccer don't make any money on endorsements???? are you for real????? Yeah, NFL does make money because of adds but that's not a major part of what pays the bills for most of the players.

1. Soccer viewership in this WC is at all-time high for USA
2. There are more kids enrolled in soccer programs in US than in Baseball or Football COMBINED
3. Most pro soccer players are also sponsored by corporations (endorsment deals) and appear in various adds. Beckham, Ronaldinho, etc.

Advertising and Sports go together like footie pitch and ball

Ok, I can definitely see what the fuss is all about. It is pretty exciting to watch. Especially now, that I'm enjoying my unpaid (involuntary) vacation, it definitely helps me keep my mind off of things...

Watched few decent games in the last few days. And definitely getting riled up for the US vs Italy game. I think it will get excellent ratings, as far as viewership goes in US. Many folks are actually following the WC in US and there's even a player from my neighborhood (NE Philly), playing on US team. So, I'm psyched! I got the fever. GO USA!!!!
