Hey all (first post for me, been a reader for a few months), what do you think the chances are of the cops setting up a drug bus for the way home? :S

Posted by St. Luke on Sep-25-2006 12:26:

about the same as any other party.. theres always a chance they will set one up (especially @ Kryal cos the ballarat cops are *****'s) but the bonus with Earthcore is you can camp out & chill for another day if need be, or just do the sensible thang & have a designated driver

Posted by stipsy on Sep-25-2006 21:29:

how long do you think joof will get to play?

Posted by St. Luke on Sep-25-2006 21:57:

EARTHCORE STATEMENT - PETER HOOK

Rumours have been circulating amongst those “in the know” for a number of weeks now that Peter Hook will not be appearing at the Earthcore Global Carnival Victoria (24th - 26th November at Undera), and after some deliberation, we can now firmly put those rumours firmly to rest.

Earthcore has been weighing up their contractual and legal rights for a number of weeks since his management and booking agent tried to cancel the Earthcore tour despite signing a contract and accepting a deposit. Earthcore had hoped to resolve the issue, however this has not been possible.

"Despite his management and booking agent signing an exclusivity contract for Victoria and Queensland and accepting a booking deposit with Earthcore earlier this year,” says Earthcore organiser Spiro Boursine, "less than six months later they proceeded to break the Earthcore contract by accepting the Parklife tour, then renegged on the Qld Earthcore appearance all together, finally refusing to return to Australia for Earthcore Vic at all, due to the close proximity of the Parklife tour. Earthcore has done it's best to try resolve the situation for fans and ticket holders, however this has not been possible. On the bright side, Earthcore has over 150 international and local live acts, DJs, artists and performers playing at the festival in November - keeping our aim of being Australia's biggest alternative music and lifestyle festival. We will now be featuring, not 6, but 9 stages, plus dance, creative and healing workshops, markets, camping and much more on 500 of prime bushland. We hope you can all be there to join in the special fun and amazing talent that is the annual Earthcore experience."

pffft i could not give a f*#k that he is not playing at earthcore in my opinion its a good thing. it just means that some of the other acts can hopefully get longer sets

Posted by Dean Millson on Sep-26-2006 07:31:

He was fucking rubish at Parklife from what i have heard (and seen) anyway LOL.

I walked back in at the end of his set and heard the Clash or something haha.

On another note, there was a Drug Bus on the way home last year. Can't see any reason why there won't be again.

Posted by charlee on Sep-26-2006 07:32:

I saw him play at Parklife and to be honest he wasnt that exciting. Maybe a little strange! His kids were cute though
