Let it be stated that I am an England fan.
On that note, since when does it mean anything if a team wins in penalty shots, it's 90% luck based at least, Ill allow 10% for nerve/composure/skill/ what have you.
To say England was not the better side is unjustified, seeing as how they looked the far better side with only 10 men for a huge part of the game, nevermind Beckham "injured" himself and the man himself, ROOOOOONEY, was the one dealt the controversial card.
On a peculiar note... That ref red carded rooney, the game went to penalties and England lost... In the finals he red carded Zidane, it went to penalties and France lost, OooOooOOoo clearly a conspiracy
MARADONNA DIDNT HANDBALL THAT GOAL!
2-1 was the final score but who won the falklands war, ananananana (courtesy of Vinny Jones).
Those were my 2 cents.

dude i think le tisser's record was more like 48 outta 49 not sure though
penalties are all about preparation and nerve. any player can put them away for fun in training with no pressure. it's nothing to do with luck. germans aren't consistently lucky and us consistently unlucky, our players just bottle it. sad but true
Ok Ill concede that it takes A LOT of nerve, but the fact is your nerve can get punched out of the goal by a goalie who just randomly picks a side and dives at the shot.
They say that Ronaldo might stay at Man U now
Then im moving to England next year, selling my organs for ManYoo tickets and throwing beers at Ronaldo at every given opportunity, even if I dont hit him he'll fall over crying so its a win either way.

Rooney's reaction to it was remarkably calm too, a little shove is all Ronaldo got... Didnt Rooney punch someone in the face while he was with Everton? Maybe it was ManYoo I forget, i think the bbc put it as "pushed him in the face" not sure how that works but yeah, go Rooney I heart you.
