I'll say it again.

Armin you fucked up with this. You had the perfect opportunity to give us all the Dark matter remix of this, which lots of us want. You blew it. Thanks.

Future classic...

Posted by Dustwave on Aug-20-2006 09:44:

I'll say it again, I wont buy it.. I have all those tracks on other CDs (not together tho).. I'm just dissapointed by this.. what is the meaning of the CD? that every wannabe DJ should spin it? I certainly doesn't want to hear these songs when I go out (only from A-list DJs =P)..

a trance classics cd without a Bonzai track is unacceptable!

even worse is that there is no Eye Q track on it. Hell there are tracks from 1994 which sounds fresch even today. Firedance, Vernons Wonderland, No Fate etc.

Posted by isoterra on Aug-20-2006 11:01:

heh, how plausible would it be to get a 'tranceaddict.com classics' compilation out there if loads of us chipped in with a tracklist & licensing costs?

Posted by THE_Chris on Aug-20-2006 11:12:

Haha the thread would get to 40 pages before even 2 tunes were decided

Posted by Sykonee on Aug-20-2006 15:28:

Perhaps not. So long as we stick to certain guidelines (for example: each disc supporting certain eras; only a certain number of allowable tracks from a producer), I'm sure the ranting and raving would be reduced to a mere 23 pages.

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Aug-20-2006 15:39:

I'm not sure the end result would be all that different from this one, actually.

I know what you mean. Especially if there is some kind of voting involved. It will end up not very different from this one.

Posted by THE_Chris on Aug-20-2006 16:57:

Would end up just like the DJMag poll. Everything decent and not over-hyped will be ignored.

Posted by isoterra on Aug-20-2006 19:03:

well if it were say, 2 discs decided by public vote + 2 discs decided by a panel of experts, with only one tune allowed per producer... it could work. or it could be made interesting by forbidding everything that made this cd already

^I like the idea... Maybe it could become reality

Unfortunatly Public Vote would bring out the same tracks

The music industrys idea of "Panel of Experts" would be Armin and his Armada team

I forward this motion!

Sounds like an idea to me!

Not wrong. Remember TA's Top 100 EDM list? 80% epic trance.

Posted by DJ_Internal on Aug-30-2006 22:32:

i must say that in my opinion some tracks could have been left out (zombie nation? probably a cd-filler if u look at length, same wiv ferry's cry), but in general this is a nice collection to have on cd

p.s. that ta voting thing is a good idea, but frankly will never work due to taste differences (which means the mainstream tracks will be chosen)

Posted by Igaryok on Aug-31-2006 01:59:

It's not all bad, but there are a few songs that make me scratch my head, like born slippy for example it just feels so dry to me.
