This was Atltico's first loss since March this year away.

I hope we'll get through this hard time, Petrov and Maxi are keyplayers and I can't see us not signing perhaps Camoranesi/Delporte or someone else when the transferwindow opens again.

It also seems like Mista is out for a month, and hopefully Perea will be back to the game against Zaragoza.

Seems like we're cursed, Yes

Another awful loss, this time in Copa del Rey against Levante..

Seems like we played better now though, Knew Levante could be hard to beat..

Still one leg left though, Aupa Atltico!

Good first half from Atltico even though we're lacking offensive quality because Maniche can't make enough space for himself to play out the ball.

Torres has tried to cross, and had a great pass to Luccin who missed the header totally. Should've been 1:0 there, but later on Galletti had a fantastic chance to score on, But Cesar Sanchez saved the header unbelieveably well! Amazing save that!

Still looking quite good though, Seitaridis and Galletti is playing well, and Victor Bravo & Galletti is changing their flanks from time, Variation is good ofcourse.

Perea & Pablo has been great, Antonio Lopez had that freekick and a couple of good runs without being seen by Victor Bravo, Unfortunately, We could've opened up Zaragoza's defence.

Costinha, Luccin and Maniche is playing well together, but unfortunately Maniche doesn't make himself space to create something. Costinha is taking care of the defensive part very well while Luccin is running like mad, But upfront and defensively.

Torres is trying to do well, but he's unfortunately to alone upfront. Still plays well though.

More offensive play on Diogo's flank, He's to offensive at times and not very good defensively. Also, Juanfran has had problems with Galletti even though they're not at all as visible as I wish them to be.

87th minute goal from Oscar. They've pulled a bolton, soak up pressure, and wham bam, thank you mam

Posted by zoric on Oct-29-2006 21:55:

A typical shit goal kills us, we can't score on our chances and we fuck up like we did against Levante, Pretty identical.

Good game from Luccin, Galletti, Seitaridis and Victor Bravo. Pablo & Perea were great until the 80th minute, and the goal came totally out of the blue.

Torres is having huge problems with the scoring once again..

Posted by Ian on Oct-29-2006 21:57:

what was up with Mista or someone else to partner him? He looks lost on his own

Posted by zoric on Oct-29-2006 22:00:

Mista got injured against Deportivo, I still like how Aguirre is trying everything in his power to make Atltico a good team.

Unfortunately, these injuries fucks us seriously. It's frustrating..

just thought i add something different than consecutive Zoric posts followed by the one out of 20 Ian posts

Posted by UnBracKo on Oct-31-2006 13:35:

I don't understand why Agero doesn't play.

Atleti paid 25 milions of and Aguirre prefers to put a player from Atletico B than Agero, something weird.

On the other hand I think the injury of Petrov is the key of the three consecutives defeats of Atletico

Posted by zoric on Oct-31-2006 15:14:

I actually have no idea why he isn't playing Agero more, it's all up to Aguirre himself to give him the chance, which I also believe he will in the next game, I want him to change formation to 4-4-2 and play with Torres and Agero upfront. This way we'll have a bigger chance of scoring and to open up space, Torres alone doesn't work at all and it's proven now aswell.

Perhaps we should change to Costinha & Luccin instead of Luccin & Maniche because Maniche hasn't done anything yet since he made his debut against Real Madrid. But if Atltico plays this way, Then everything will happen on the flanks.

Petrov's and Maxi Rodriguez's injuries is major blows for Atltico and out plans of getting a place in the Champions League. I think our plans changed a little when we got these two injuries, which also makes it a lot harder for the team to perform as they're supposed to. Atltico's whole idea is to play on the flanks, Unfortunately our two best players got injured, Probably the two most essential players together with Peter Luccin, Pablo Ibaez and Luis Perea.

Atltico played very bad yesterday against Mallorca and the game ended 0:0.

It doesn't come as a surprise though, and Maniche has been shit ever since he made his debut against Real Madrid. But I certainly hope Atltico doesn't sack Javier Aguirre, because we'll be back on square one if that happens.

This is one of the best nights in a couple of weeks.

Atltico started out in a very aggressive tempo and started creating chances from the very beginning. Villareal scored the first goal of the game though, after a fatal misstake in the defence by a couple of players. Villareal had three players free in the box while we didn't mark our opponents, Fuentes opened the goalscoring for Villareal.

There's one difference between the last months games and the game tonight, Atltico continued playing amazing forward and they created more chances in this game, than they've done on the whole month, ever since the Recreativo-game.

Barbosa made some amazing saves on Atltico's attempts to equalize the game, but in the end, Atltico got the goal we needed and it was after a hard freekick from Perna that Ze Castro (Who replaced Pablo Ibaez who's injured), scored his first goal ever for Atltico. The look on his face was amazing, Total luck!

Atltico continued in their furious tempo and created even more chances, but Barbosa saved it all until Fernando Torres got a penalty after a outstanding performance where three men got fucked in one single move! He got a penalty, and scored the goal that gave Atltico 2:1 before HT. The Rojiblancos continued playing amazing football in the second half, and El Kun got to score another goal for Atltico before the game was over, a great chip over the goalkeeper into the back of the net.

Gabi got a chance to play tonight aswell after his car accident earlier this season which has prevented him from playing. Agero got standing ovations by the crowd, Amazing night!

Atltico's best players were: Seitaridis, Perna, Galletti, Antonio Lopez, Luccin, Maniche, Torres and Sergio "El Kun" Agero!

Some bad news aswell, Torres looked like he was injured and had to be substituted against Jurado. Hopefully he won't be away for to long, We've got enough problems with injuries.

Hands down to Atltico tonight!

I didn't think they had it in them to make a comeback. Was proved wrong.
