WE'RE FUCKING GOING TO HOLLAND & IBIZA!!!

not fair!

Cale and I were looking at flights etc the other day around August 1st from Holland to Ibiza. Everyone told us that it'll be dirt cheap, but we can't find anything for under a few hundred euro?

Also, when should we start looking at hotels or apartments and which should we look for. We were going to look at getting a private room in a hostel, but it adds up, and most places don't let you book more than 7 days.

I don't want to wait too long, b/c everyone always says to wait, and that's what we did for our airfare to Holland...and ended up having to pay $300 more each when we could have booked our tickets before hand (people kept telling us that 3 months ahead of time was plenty...guess not).

Is that 200 for a return flight?
Also, you wanna go Aug 1st, when do you want to go back to Amsterdam?
Unfortunately, unless ur willing to sit in an airport long extended hours
waiting for a connecting flight, it will cost you....

As far as I know Cale was looking at round trips. We looked at Vuellings, RyanAir and one other one, I can't think of the name right now, but it went straight from Amsterdam to Ibiza.

We don't have a problem going to Barcelona first - we realize that's probably what will have to happen.

Our return flight to Canada (from Holland) leaves on August 14th. We want at least one night in Holland to go back to the apartment, b/c we will have left some luggage there and we want to square things off with the owners. The reason we want at least a night is because we don't want to be rushed.

We would like to go to Ibiza on or after the 1st because the apartment owners will be getting back that day and requested we leave on or after the 1st. If we have to leave early, I'm sure something can be worked out.

Ideally, we are looking at 10 days in Ibiza.

When you say "extended hours" how long are you thinking Vrk?

why not take a ferry over to ibiza, i did that, very very nice, and more affordable (and no lisa, not ferry corsten)

Posted by TheVrk on Mar-12-2007 16:22:

When i went, we had a 10 hr layover in Madrid - not because we wanted to, cause Jimmy planned the trip, which was a bad idea.....

I've done some poking around and you can save SOME money (maybe 30-40 euros max)....
It would take a layover, and a LOT of patience in an airport (even overnight)...so i'm not sure how worth it it is....
Unless you REALLY could use that extra 30-40 euros, which in the end
will not make much of a difference in your total budget for the entire month or so ur in Europe....

Ex. Theres a few airport that have flights into Ibiza for like 30 euros,
but it's at like 8am....so u'd need to fly in late, suffer the night
in the airport, and then fly to Ibiza - miserable doesnt do justice to how u'd feel that morning....

We looked at Ferry's and they were actually even more expensive.

I don't mind flying in and spending the night in the airport. This trip is costing Cale and I so much money as it is, and going to Ibiza in August is going to up the price even more. Cale's already getting worried, b/c he has to save money for school as well!

So staying over at the airport, and 8am flights I really don't care about - and I'm sure Cale won't either, b/c it's worth it.

The only concern of mine, is that I'm not a good person to have on standby - as in just waiting at the airport for a flight. I would probably freak out and start crying b/c I wouldn't think we'd get there on time (especially if we have an apartment booked). So these flights you're looking at Vrk, would they be booked and it would just mean hanging out at the airport for awhile?

P.S. Check your PMs beb

Looked into that already as well.
Thats always a great option - u cant go wrong seein the Mediterranean -
but it wouldnt save u any money in the total cost of Holland-Ibiza-Holland

What is it for the ferry (not Corsten) from Barca?
I know from Valencia - which is MUCH closer - is aprrox 40-50 euros

FYI just found a route through Milan where it' total approx 160 euros.
BUT, u'd have to be in Milan airport from 7pm til 11am (UGGHHH!) on the way there...
And on the way back, u'd have to be in Milan from 530 pm til 645 am - also not pleasant, but much easier...

You only live once! You'll cross the bridge on paying for school AFTER the trip, not before

lol

My next big question now is about tickets.

For those of you who have gone to Ibiza...what do you do in regards to tickets to parties?

And no, I don't plan on greasing the bouncer every night b/c we'll be there at the busiest time of the year, and this trip is already costing me a fortune.

When I know for sure I will let you know. Would be fun to party it up with you guys out there.

Don't go to Ibiza people there's nothing there.

Except for lots and lots of minimal on the most part.

Trust me

Easy. Just go to the nearest club "store" like the Amnesia Store for tickets to that night, or you'll see signs posted on where to get them. Pick up a party shuttle bus schedule at the nearest station to get times for when they arrive to take you to whichever club you're going to, usually they come every hour.
