poor seany. i'm usually exhausted by the time i finish my show that day. he keeps plugging at it though, good on him and anyone else who participates, and especially those who attend.

location, expenses, and if it turns into a bust, that's potentially a huge loss to them and may deter them from doing what they already do.

vancouver is just not an edm town and never will be.

Any investment will have risks, and surly opening a club has high risks but twisted bring enough talent to town every month and always sell out. They can also rent out their vacinity to other promotions co. privat parties.
I honestly think with enough research and choosing the right location they would have their initial investment (exp.) covered within a year or two.
Risk and Return go hand in hand, unless you take some risk, you will never see return.

There's always so much talk about opening your own club, add this, add that and VOILA somehow, magically your trance scene gets better? It is not as simple as just opening some big super club for trance or other dance music. There simply isn't that much interest in trance music here as it is compared to the likes of, for example, Holland. The reason why certain trance shows sell out in Vancouver is strictly because of the DJ name itself. Names like Armin and Tiesto sells themselves within weeks and in Tiesto's case, a matter of hours.

I will agree with what was said before. Start supporting your locals and respect them more for what they can do and maybe, just maybe you might have a scene again.

I don't think that anybody is disputing the quality of the show. Armin spun great, glad I got to see him, had a fantastic time. I'm just thinking (as anyone should) that it could have been better. Fact of the matter is that the sound at Plush is shit, and we want a different venue. If you don't voice your opinion, nothing is going to get done, and nobody will know how you feel.

I am not saying build a super Trance club. The venue can be used for other things as well, such as private parties, hip hop shows, etc.....
My main point is we are missing a good venue in vancouver.
And offcourse the good old disbute of club hours. I think 2am is a shitty time to close but that is out of the promoters hands.

Canada isn't Europe. We are governed by tight ass conservatives.

Anywhere in Europe they party all night long.
The bar closes when the last guy leaves, which is most
often something close to 7AM.

Constructing a venue outside of downtown limits would be
best way to go. Perhaps within a light industrial zoned area
where by-laws don't pertain.

Sent an pm to Kraig about a week ago explaining our gripes and asking for a response. No response so far. Perhaps Twisted doesn't care about its customers.

Hey nice try though. These guys are making enough $$ to be
able to ignore a few of us "forum people".

I'm adding TWISTED to my list of BOYCOTT promoters.
Thanks for the info.
