ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL 9�the official closing event of the Winter Music Conference (WMC) taking place March 23 and 24, 2007 at Bicentennial Park in downtown Miami�is pleased to announce many major additions to its artist line-up. At the two-day event where 60,000 fans are expected, festival headliner The Cure and second-night headliner Paul van Dyk will be joined by over 150 of the world�s leading electronic bands and DJs ranging from all varieties of the electronic/dance music genre including house, electro, minimal, drum �n bass, progressive, trance and more.
The updated billing marks exclusive WMC appearances by live acts like The Cure, Shiny Toy Guns, Miss Kittin, Brazilian Girls and Rabbit In The Moon and DJ�s Fat Boy Slim, Carl Cox and Kruder & Dorfmeister. UMF9 will mark the first time Deep Dish has played the festival in five years and it will be their first appearance together in Miami since last WMC. For Sasha & John Digweed, this will be their first appearance together at UMF in three years. The festival will also highlight Carl Cox's only performance in the U.S. in six months. Says the set Tiesto will be playing at Ultra will be part of his Tour and have the same setup. Since Tiesto usually plays the same set when he tours, i wonder if the amount of time he will get at Ultra will be the same as his tour or less. Didnt go to tiesto in concert when it toured the states, so not sure how long he plays there. But the description below seems bad ass and seems it is hosted at Ultra as well.

In one case, i want him to close because it is a EDM event that simply has the cure, not an emo event with EDM music in it. But also with all the events friday, it may help some people to see him before the cure so they can head out early. Whatever the case - 2.5 - 3 hour set is a must!
yah, I almost just wanna sell my day one tickets. If I do go at all it will be just to see tiesto and leave. That's why I'm so curious.

But in general for all genre fans, friday isnt massive yet. Who knows what more they will add if they do. Still missing a complete third stage haha.
But hey, i am a fan of the 2 day movement now. Its starting to turn out more like a true festival. Just need to round out the artists more. But hopefully the cure will bring in the tickets for day 1 if the edm fans wont.
