Lol, these threads are always great for entertainment. So many opinions all over the place.

You don't really need to see someone with your own eyes when there are plenty of livesets available for listening.
Anyone who has access to d/l programs, grab some of each Dj. They are actually somewhat similar in style, and K vs A actually have some tracks signed to anjuna.
However, the caliber is different.

Go with the DJ who guarantees you the better night, and who's recent sets have sounded better. Take into account crowd, and times of sets.
Everyone has the right to the their opinion on this, but I would sure as hell take the 4 hours of insane hopping rather than less time and less guarantee of the quality. I would be kicking my own ass if I missed one of my fav's to catch a small amount of similar style newbies who didn't blow the roof off.

people have the option of going to docks first until 1 then heading over to guv after..

That's the thing, if A&B are your favorite djs period then ok go see them. But for the better party overall I'm betting it'll be tbe Docks jam mostly because of the upstairs TA area. All I'm saying is that there comes a point where the "all access" big name dj super star parties become BORING once you've been to a billion of them and change in a party is always welcome. That being said I still may show up to the Guv, depends on how much energy I have after the Docks.

I would LOVE to swing both, but I doubt set times will permit !

You like to swing both ways too? nice lol

A&B will be back...not going to miss K&A...

Posted by spolitta on Jan-18-2007 05:21:

Everyone must go to A&B, leaving us more space at the docks.

Well, if you're into A+B style of vocal cheeeeeese

(And you're right. You are biased)

Posted by Jer on Jan-18-2007 05:39:

hahah. Not quite.

lol @ vocal cheese. I'd say in terms of djs that play or produce vocal trance, theirs is top notch and if I were to hit up a set of the 'fluffier' side of trance to hear that style it would be theirs. I might hit it up after the Docks depending.

i think i made my decision to go to Above & Beyond. not an easy choice. Turning down johan gielen and kyau & albert is really really hard. Just way to many negatives with the docks event.

IE. Possibility of shitty sound, 16+ (huge issue), rave like atmosphere (i hate the crossing of rooms with jungle music), $ costs double for the docks, late show (i can't afford late nights these days) so all those factors made the only possible solution a&b! either way great trance music will be heard!

^^^ + 4 hours of A&B vs wat? 1 or 2 hours of K&A and johan....although id love to make it to both but i dont see it happenin cuz if A&B play 1-5 then iunno..iun think itd work out..... but maybe i could catch a bit of whoevers closin
or A&B for like 2 hours then go to the docks
umm

i started this post thinkin YES GUV FO SHO but.... ugh THIS IS
FCKIN BULLLLLLLLLLSHIIIIIIT

so
yes....*awkward look*

The docks party includes the TA anniversary party

it should be an easy choice for anyone browsing this forum...

+1 ...

I think i'm going to totally skip the Guv at this point...I"ll see A&B next time they play or go see them in another city...

There will be so much going on in the Docks...no time for everything! Just face it Jelly..no A&B...they'll be back.

Sneaker Pimp

A&B 15-20 $
K&A and Gielen 30$

A&B 4 hr set
K&A and Gielen only 3 hr set

Your negatives are unfounded imo. The Docks has decent sound, the phazon is becoming toast, too much bass, not enough of anything else imo. The crossing of rooms with other styles of music is just being immature, does it really hurt you that much to walk through one room or wait until the trance gets played and hear housier or different music in the TA area? Also, not affording late nights, A&B will probably spin late as it is, a lot later than some of the Djs at the Docks.

Also:

The TA room will be one of the better parties of the year. (People who constantly hit up the Guv 'super event' types WILL get bored of them eventually, but for now if you love them that's cool...)

May hit up both. It won't bother me as much if I don't see A&B because I've seen them a bunch of times, the TA party is ONLY once a year and is a virtually guaranteed amazing night and it's not even based on the djs in the main room IMO.

+1

I'm definitely thinking about hitting up both
