they have 4 downs to gain a first down that being ten yards.. so if they gain 4 yds on the first it becomes 2nd and 6 meaning they have two more trys to get a first down...

I think it's cos we're used to quick sports. Even test cricket is faster than this. Football, hockey, rugby, tennis, everything we're used to is played in real time & not stopped so much

No...we're an ADD society...that's why the sport does so well here...it's 5-10 seconds of intense action, followed by a 20-30-second break.

When it comes to soccer, I hate commercial breaks. I just want to be able to sit and watch the whole thing in one shot. Well pee breaks are needed, but as many commercials as they tend to play.

only during the TV time-outs. They're way more frustrating when you actually go to a game. They'll just stop everything for 2-3 minutes so they can air ads. It's the worst part about seeing games live.
